I offer my first attempt at making clothing for .. well, anything really. This is a short, cute spring dress. A few morphs for movement, for flattening the pleats, as well as a few adjustments for size and figures (Bethany, Arabella, Voluptuous to name a few).Β Extra material zones are available for a "cleavage" version, as well as trim on the sleeves and hem of the skirt. Added, finally, is the texture you see above. It's an iray image (sorry folks!), but it's about all I'm comfortable making.My thanks goes out to all my testers who put up with my sometimes inconsistent packaging and unreliable UV maps!
There are some things this dress does really well (look pretty, stand still... just like me!), and somethings it doesn't. (extreme ... much of anything).
If you have any critical (like 'it doesn't work' or 'stop making clothing please') or positive feedback, please let me know. I'm interested to see what you all do with it! Let me know if you want to make up some textures for it, I'd love to have them!

I know very little aboutΒ that sort of thing, but I do hope it works well for you. I know that it's very hard to deal with an absence of morphs - something i run into when I try to use the G3 clothing on a G2 model. :-p

I've got the scaling working properly, but the morphs still don't work as I'd expected. I'll get to the answer somehow... Fortunately the Poser cloth room is quite forgiving of body shape variations, so I can live without most of the morphs. I had hoped to be able to use the 'longer' and 'neckline' morphs - I can use them at full strength, just not continuously vary them.

Yeah, I was cheating when I was providing the dress for downloads. It's easy to sell something when the person wearing it looks amazing!

Well to be honest I didn't push it very hard.Β As you can see it's a pretty simple pose and the "Actor" controls on the dress were fully adequate to adjust it.Β I did notice that it defaults to Iray surfaces, but that was easy to fix, just applied a 3DL shader and good to go.Β It's a real achievement for a first attempt.Β I certainly encourage you to push onward if you are enjoying the challenge.Β And thanks again for making this one available for free!

What I've learned so far is that making an article for me for a specific use or even model is easy. Making something that handles all the various forms, morphs, and poses out there is a real struggle. It's interesting to see it from the other side - it does help explain a few things!

G3F? Guess it is the flow of the times. Well it won't change my looking forward to using it. I wish there was things like this for G2F. It would surly find it's way into my comic.

Yeah, I could probably fit it initially fairly easy to a G2F model, but then I'd have to go and do all the morphs again - it's unfortunate that there's not really an easier way that I'm aware of.
It is a brave new world out there though!

Nope! Upgrades! New morph for the sitting pose you see here and a few fbms for other body types.
