Description Sci-fi idea I had. In the far future, human civilization is crumbling, and their enemies are closing in. In an attempt to fully isolate themselves, they teleport all of their earth-like planets to Sol, and the system is sealed off in a pocket universe. For the next several millennia, their universe consists only of a single sun, around which a variety of habitable planets orbit and interact.

I wonder if they're planning to eventually return to normal space and try to reclaim their lost glory...

My idea was that the plan didn't quite work out, because a giant alien fleet became trapped in the pocket universe and proceed to bomb humanity back into the stone age. But eventually the fleet fell apart because they were cut off and no longer had a purpose, and they settled on the various planets, becoming primitive as well. They would all eventually return to the galaxy though, and things outside would be completely different. It would be like ancient precursors suddenly coming back and asking the younger species why are they taking apart our old stuff.

Lol.

Two primitive species living in the same huge star system is actually a pretty interesting idea - maybe, when they finally start to rediscover their old technology, the two species will have a cold war (or even an actual war) and will constantly try to keep ahead of each other.

I was thinking that their rivalry would become less severe with time. After the fleet fell apart the aliens might be more interested in fighting each other, same with the humans. Another idea was that the humans and aliens could both have client species that became independent after everything collapsed.

I guess my idea was to have an entire space-opera community stuck together in a bubble with medieval technology and scavenged technomagic.

I just love anachronistic sci-fi.

I see some interesting names in there. Is this a variant of any particular Multiverse?

If you're talking about myΒ Cosmology Collage then no, it's just a sci-fi idea.

Could be difficult.Β The only way to travel between planets is through teleportation. This has a limited range of about 46 million miles. Therefore, in order to travel to a specific planet, one must often first teleport to another planet that is closer. Because of the orbits of the planets, there are limited windows of time during which two planets are able to access each other. Sometimes, it will be necessary to wait months or even years for the planets to align in a way that will facilitate travel to a desired destination.
