Russia is in a difficult situation because of Ukraine. If Russia starts an intervention for protection of the people of Ukrainian South-East from Kiev government, Russia will be called an aggressor. But if Russia refrains from interference, it will be disgrace for our country. Euromaidan has started a civil war and now many civilians are dying because of the so called "antiterrorist operation"of Kiev against pro-Russian/Antimaidan protesters. Russians see Kiev govt as the fascist junta that illegally came to power, many Russians support the rebels and Putin has to reckon with it.
Churchill's choice between war and dishonor =_=
Btw, we consider Kiev government only as a puppet of the USA. It's the USA, who DELIBERATELY POKING RUSSIA INTO WAR. Our economists attribute this to the fact that the USA is losing its leading position and incitements to war is an attempt to preserve the status quo. The world is on the verge of great changes, on the verge of another technological revolution. It is a difficult ordeal for the leading powers and wide opportunities for developing countries. At such times wars begin.

hey, west can call Russia an aggressor or whatever. When did Russia ever care what others think to get what it want?
If Ukraine is lost to the West, Putin will fall to Damnatio Memoriae. I am sure Putin does not want that. It is not whether if Russia will intervene. It is WHEN.
as for Kiev, what kind of fucked up government calls its own citizens TERRORISTS?
NO ONE in US, NOT EVEN the MOST HAWKISH US leaders DARED TO GO TO WAR against Russia. But, looking at what Obama is doing, I am not so sure. Obama is just a sham who pretends to be a leader. He can't think or act under pressure.
But I know for one thing: Kiev ruling classes right now, they are not just greedy fuckers (why even bother trying to cling to lands they cannot manage?). THEY ARE TRAITORS. They are going to sell out Ukraine's sovereignty and authority to foreign powers, all for them to stay in power.
No, I don't believe Russia is in difficult situation. In fact, IMO, Putin is holding all the cards against EU and US. Look at EU. It is in disarray regarding what to do with Russia. Here in US, Obama is facing oppositions by corporations which have businesses with Russia. And troops in Afghanistan? They come and go through... RUSSIAN AIRSPACE! Should Putin revoke that air space privilege...
Also, I am very impressed how well East rebels are faring against junta thugs, especially Lugansk. Regrettably, Donetsk seems to be in a lot of trouble.
just out of curiosity, are you Russian?

I am a citizen of Ukraine, an insider, and I know better than others that civil war is not being fought here, mercenaries from Russia come here, hundreds of evidence, both online and in Ukraine itself, even my friends from Russia confirm that their government is just a heap of trains carry armored vehicles and ammunition in the Donbass, and the separatists all this time do not run out of tanks, missiles and ammunition, just a coincidence? Or do they find everything in the mines? Please stop all these disputes, it does not make sense. Or does Russia have its own way of protection? Like the Berlin Wall? Or war on Korea with Vietnam? Chechnya or Igil?

tell that bullshit to 10,000+ dead carcasses littering Eastern portion. BTW, why is that you dipshits always, I mean, ALWAYS covet something you possess neither the wisdom nor the wealth to manage?
hundreds of evidence my fucking ass. Do you expect people with IQ of 100 or above to believe the government that calls its people FUCKING TERRORISTS?
true, Russians are there aiding Eastern rebels, but its main forces are the people of East. NO ONE is loyal to the government that calls its people sub-humans. Sure, I know the fact that Ukraine had gobs of USSR weaponry and arsenal it got for free. So what was this Russia bullshit again? Ah, in addition, what is very clear to me is that your so-called military, is not a winning force. It is a heap of losers in uniform that lacks everything and can't do anything right. I am surprised that you dipshits managed to maintain a facade of 'country' so long as you idiots did.
what does not makes sense is your incredible stupidity out of greed: why is it that you dipshits covet something you can never have?
be thankful Russia has not crushed you dipshits like fucking worms that you are. I don't know when were you bursted out of your fucking mama's womb, but I am old enough to witness how Russians invade other nations, and MAN it was such a SPECTACLE to behold!
wake me up when Kiev is burning in flames. Then, I might believe Russians invade your worthless cesspool of a lump of land that has nerve to call itself a country.
and yes, Russia has its way of protection. But it is attempting to approach civil. My advice to you fuckboy, don't poke the bear. Stop whining what you lost and count how not to lose whatever there is still left. Or in a good old fashion way, if you want to go to war with Russia so fucking bad (like you are right now), just declare a war. Russai would be more than eager to rip you to shred.
and if you continue this stupidity I am confident you will not survive a next decade.

Do you really care about civilians being killed in the Middle East, or are they just the most convenient subject to bring up in anti-American rhetoric?
Do you even give half a damn about these deaths as well? www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/05…
Before all this, Ukraine wasn't showing aggression towards ethnic Russians in their country, or Russia itself.
And you don't think I'm aware of my own country's crimes?? Think again.
Seriously, right-wingers from the USA secretly fawn all over the Putin administration's way of doing things.
Oh, and at least my country doesn't kill journalists or ban gay pride parades.
I have little tolerance for stupidity, or people stupidly attempting to defend an invasion.

You mean like those civilians killed by mercenaries hired with US funds, using US weapons and which were created by US?
Also, I think that bombing civilian cities with chemical weapons, banning the use of Russian language and burning people alive IS showing agression. Ukrainian govt, and groups supported by that are making it.

Stepan Bandera is idolized by neo-Nazis thugs and vandals, not by everyone living in Ukraine. You're acting like he's the head of their interim government- yet he's been dead since 1959.
And you don't think I'm unaware of Svodoba and Ukrainian neo-Nazi crimes during the protests, or Ukraine in general? Of course they're a fucking problem, but I'm sure idiots like you jumped at the chance to say every Ukrainian protester and activist is a neo-Nazi. Anything to paint people with the same brush, huh?
And I DO know there was a (not yet passed?) law that attempted to remove Russian and other minority languages: my.firedoglake.com/fairleft/20… www.kyivpost.com/hot/language-… www.csmonitor.com/World/Europe… Of course that's a stupid, terrible, hypocritcal idea. Revoking a language someone speaks just blows a hole through the freedom of speech. While Ukrainian should be the primary official language of Ukraine, that clearly does not mean that people who speak something else shouldn't be allowed to communicate properly.
But then I found this: www.reuters.com/article/2014/0…
...wait, wait a minute, are you calling homosexuals sodomites, or is that a typo? You're not going to go on a spiel about "the gays" corrupting the hearts and minds of Russian children, are you? Because guess what? They haven't! Also, that doesn't have a damn thing about what's going on in Ukraine.
And way to bitch about the United States in order to cover your own country's arse. Guess what, the Russian government has committed the same types of crimes as the U.S. did over this past century.
Did you know that clinging to stereotypes are a refuge for the willfully ignorant? It's the middle of 2014, and in case you haven't noticed, it's actually beneficial to make an effort to educate yourself instead of sounding like an arrogant, blithering fuckwit. But I'm willing to bet that you're the type of person who just listens to what some idiot tells you to think. I'll also bet that you haven't bothered to learn 10 things about the U.S., because you just rely on stereotypes and bullshit instead of actually thinking twice about something.

Americans are so fond falsify words. directly in this wizard.
> They haven't! Also, that doesn't have a damn thing about what's going on in Ukraine.
exactly. why you dragged sodomites, accusing habit - is not clear.
> And way to bitch about the United States in order to cover your own country's arse. Guess what, the Russian government has committed the same types of crimes as the US did over this past century.
only creates a complete fucking America. Russia to this is irrelevant. and America too often climbs his snout into foreign countries - for oil or for the bloody bombings.
> Because you just rely on stereotypes and bullshit instead of actually thinking twice about something.
bvahaha. conceit of Americans simply moves))))
ie it bombed Yugoslavia stereotypes? Iraq? Egypt? Libya?
as convenient to live in America. there are only two opinions-American and foreign-wrong )))
I think America has acquired a patent for the long-term destruction of countries. and therefore is not reacting to the fact that for the horror they started in Ukraine. as started in Egypt, Iraq and other countries. wondering when a bloody Obama would not stand , foaming at the mouth require bombing Ukraine? ... or Russia. Russia is also to blame? ))))

Russia is attempting to destabilize Ukraine from the east. If you think otherwise, then you're delusional. I see NO good intentions for any of these actions. None.
"Ukrainians have protested against Viktor Yanukovych's authoritarian policies, and about 110 people were killed? How dare they stand up for themselves!"
History? Blame Khrushchev for giving Crimea to Ukraine. He made that official in 1954.

now illegal in the Ukraine authorities are genocide against the population . people can defend themselves ? or against America ?
> History? Blame Khrushchev for giving Crimea to Ukraine. He made that official in 1954 .
illegally tore a piece of land from the USSR . and did not ask the population of Crimea to Ukraine , they want to or not. Now people are able to return home on their own, they waited 20 YEARS THIS !
But America said against . Of course, there's no blood , bombs do not fly. all is not as it should America. so all my fault ... well, of course Russia ! )))

I think that too, but I tend to be careful now when there is a crisis, because you know, it´s alot of people here and I don´t want any trouble for what I say.
I really hope that everything turns out alright in the end, but it has been so peaceful I wouldn´t be too surprised if a war broke up, but I really don´t hope that to happen. We´re all people here...

I understand what you mean, though I have regrettably lost my temper speaking to a person or two in the comments section here.
But it's still a heated topic, although I'm sure many regular people want as little conflict as possible. Sadly, that doesn't apply to extremists and saboteurs.

And politicans. They just don´t know what is it like to be in war. (Just my opinion)
They just, well sit and kinda decide when it´s time for someone to go and propably die, but then again war is the last choise at least for Finland. It´s just a fact that little country needs to stay silent in bad situations, especially if living next to big country.
I think now this Ukraine´s crisis has faded at least for me, because papers don´t write about it anymore. The new topic of the papers is Russia and Putin, but it´s all just over colored and intentionally scary and usually it´s the trash papers who wrote about Russia first.
