Description
This was the only shot I got of this little boy looking out the window of the Rivercat on a trip home from the city. It was just too good an opportunity to miss.I bumped the contrast a bit, to make the silhouette really black, and cropped it square. I think that's about it!
As always, your comments are appreciated!

I love the fact that even though he's not smiling, he doesn't look altogether unhappy.Maybe.. longing?
I don't know, but I really love the contrast between the black and orangeyyellow out side of the window.
It made me smile and say 'aww'.

I your comments are always so thoughtful and considered. I think at the end of a long day he may have been getting a little weary, so longing might be a good guess!
I toyed with the idea of making the image completely mono, but I kind of like the orangeyyellow (I love the way you do that!) myself - it's a bit different from most silhouettes, where we try for a much more stark (ie, white/grey) background. I'm glad I left it that way!
And I'm glad it made you smile ...

Thanks, I'm really pleased with this one too! And I find it hard to come up with decent titles sometimes, so I appreciate the encouragement in that area!
And thanks for the !

I have the same problem too, thinking of a title that will get everyone looking at the pics...

I confess to trying a little practical joke when I named "Breaking Dawn", to try and lure any "Twilight" fan(atic)s ... I am slightly ashamed ... But still, it did get some nice attention anyway!

Mine too - they are intimate, yet impersonal at the same time, so you can get detailed without being intrusive.

Thanks! And you're not the first person who has commented on the title! Thanks - I find it hard to come up with good ones, so it's nice to know I got it right this time!

Yes, some of your best works are silhouettes (like your latest ones, which I have yet to comment, to my shame)!
And thank you so much for your lovely comment. I am very pleased with this, I must say, and such a lovely comment helps me to like it all the more! Thank you so much, dear niece !
