Was the guard checking out this young woman as she walked to the ticket machine? I guess we'll never know. But who could have blamed him if he was?I'm pleased with this image, right down to the monochrome. It was another foggy day shot. so there was very little colour anyway, and converting to monochrome only deepened the silhouette and brightened the fog. I hope you like it, too

I love it, of course, but I've been completely bowled over by the wonderful response I've had to this image from so many people. It does make me wonder what makes an image stand out so much from others - something pretty much intangible, is my guess!

I guess we each know deep down when an image is good. But the difference between good and great, that's another story. So we go on improving what we do, and how we judge our own work - it's the labour that makes it love, I suppose

Haha oh definitely! It's funny when a photo that I think is brilliant doesn't do as well as one I think is quite average, which goes on to do amazing! It never makes sense, haha.

I used to live on the Canterbury line back in the early 2000's. But I rarely went through Birrong, maybe a couple of times. Seems like a lifetime ago.

Very small but quite important station - the last station you can change between Lidcombe trains and Liverpool trains
I've been in the Bankstown area for over 19 years now, but only at Birrong for the last 4. Ten minute walk to the station = score!

Nothing less than a fantastic photo. I just love the foggy backgroung that is really bright and her being almost all black, that just gives a lovely contrast!
