Wow, they look great and im sure theyll work great. I feel like an idiot though, not knowing how to put them in 3ds Max 8.

This is great. A nice pack with hdri images. Thanks for taking the time of making them and releasing them to other artists! Good person

There's a pack4 coming soon, without watermarks in them. A 50 count of 1024x1024 maps.

Fredzz In reply to smashmethod [2006-01-17 01:59:48 +0000 UTC]

this ones have watermarks?!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

smashmethod In reply to Fredzz [2006-01-17 02:17:01 +0000 UTC]

They have maps supported from 50% to the top. ex.) if you use the map in an environment, the floor/plane of the scene will hide the bottom half of the map (like in pretty much all finalaized models). The other pack doesn't have those.

awe man, thank you very much. I have some of your other HDRI maps, and they've been very helpful to me. I'm still learning Max, nothing I've done is worth a deviation in my opinion, but when they are I'll let you know when I post something with your HDRI's in use. Thanks again for these...most people would not give something like this away freely. Now if only I can persued you to post a texture w/ bumps pack! (cause the texture work on your pieces are hella good). :]

This is sort of funny, I was looking for light probes since I am startoing to try to learn 3d and stuff and I came upon this deviation from a link on 3dvalley. These look great, can't wait to use them, if I end up actually making the deviation I will give oyu credit for the light probe.

one question... are these TRUE floating point hdr? or are they low dynamic? Because the shadows on all the spheres look identical..
(i'll have to try them out ! )

just a question.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 0

jeffjones [2005-04-01 04:12:18 +0000 UTC]

you made these? i'm in the process of making some, but until i get a better camera, i'm not going to try to make them.. im using my crappy digicam to figure out the spherical mapping theory, then later with a better camera i'll do the exposure capturing.

thx i can use these definitely though.

Max/brazil!

i dunno if any of you have done hdri renders before but you need them to be set to spherical map and smash method hasn't done this which is why the reflections pinch to a point at the top of the balls.. nice posts tho
