Description
Well, this is my first submission in a VERY long time. On one hand Bryce felt like an old comfy chair, on the other, it felt like I'd never used it before. As far as the name, I was kinda looking at this scene as some kind of alien power generator thingy.....but I couldn't think of a good name. Then I looked at it as, hey what the hell else could it be.....then.....I saw something completely differentRelated content

The top and bottom reflections in the sphere you've encased the objects in seem slightly out of place. But the rest is fantastic, still pimpin' that mat forall it's worth I see.

Thanks ska, yeah it's still pimpable, that's why....lol....as far as the reflections, yeah, I wasn't too happy with them, wanted them smoother, mellower, and darker.....but what ever I did, started taking away from the scene, so I left them alone.....thanks again

Technically, it's the same ole stuff we always see in Bryce renders, some nicely played glossy objects... But stylistically, this is quite stunning, excellent job on the scene, lighting and color choice. You seem to have a clearly defined artistic vision. Nice...

Sorry for the extremely late reply......As far as Bryce I'm still fairly new to it, not even using it for 2 years, and it's not something I'm at every day, so I haven't honed my skills like some others.....but I do try purposely to be different, on one hand absorbing what I see here and like, on the other, taking what I like and somehow making my own thing out of it......as far as a clearly defined artistic vision- I really don't- I just try to take the basic concepts, and somehow be different.....check out "Feelin Freaky", "Dreamweaver SM", and "The Seed v1", in my gallery- those are good examples of things I did that I hadn't seen done in Bryce, scenes that I fooled with so much, I thought I was lost, but came out pretty different......Thanks for the great comments

Nice, smooth render.
Stunning color choice.
Iยดll just flip it upside down to better use it as my next WP

Thanks for great comments, sorry so late to respond......that's something that I never thought of until you said that......about flipping it......what a concept! As stupid as it may seem, I have never done that with a piece, and that could be the difference between good and great.....you've just hit the switch on a giant lightbulb in my head, and something I am going to keep in mind for every piece from now on.......how could something so simple elude me.....lol.....shaking my head......I'm always so concentrated on my camera view, I've never thought about flipping it around once it was rendered.....but here's a question- can you flip it around in Bryce, as in, turn your camera 180 degrees? Let me know.....

Wow, thanks man, that means a lot.....I'd love to send you the file, but it's on a drive that failed me, which has all my art and scene files on it......still trying to get stuff off, and if I do, I'd be happy to send it to ya.....sorry for so long in the response....haven't been on in a while......

Me too! I've set up my redesigned pc to have an IDE data and power connector in one of the front bay slots, so I can take my drive and connect it while it's sitting on my desk, so I can beat the shit out of it to get my data off of it....lmao....I'm serious tho......but the IDE cable I have won't reach my new data drive, so I need to get a long one so I can hook up the external connector from the inside, and the data drive, so I can transfer shit. All my graphics I've ever done is on that drive....

P.S. The mat used for this was made by GreenArmani. Unfortunately a few months ago I did some hardware and OS upgrading, and one of the ONLY things I didn't save was the bryce materials I've made. They were only in the Bryce program. Mat's by GA, Jim373, and LA, were saved on another drive. So I'm gonna pimp some of those mat's until I can pull mine back out of my saved bryce files.
