Description Well, long story.....Green Armani came up with the original mat (Bryce) for this, and let me use it (you can see it in quite a few of my renders), after a hard drive crash, and losing not only this, but many of my original mats, and GA going off the grid, and me wanting to put my head through a wall.....lol.....Jim373 had a copy of it that he sent me...along with other cherished things......I have not posted anything in a while, but am x-ferring things to another machine, and came across that mat that Jim sent me.....soooo, decided to screw around with the scene, and came out with this.......thanks to Green Armani (where ever you are), Jim373 (you're always there for me, and so appreciated), Lady Akasha for getting me here in the first place, and Tex Manson and Jim373 for always making me say WOW!.........This ain't a WOW, but it made me feel good gettin' my mouse and Bryce wet again, so it is a wow to me.....lol

Yes it is, Jim, yes it is....lol.....part of mine not keeping up was time to create, the other part is my desktop being 7 years old, and maxed out for what it can do, and good previews taking an hour, nevermind a render, I just kinda threw my hands up (and yeah we did some good stuff on those slower machines, but it was painfull...lol)....having a fast laptop still isn't the ultimate solution for me, that would be building a new desktop.

Another part of it is, and maybe you may be able to help with this, getting my User.mat file from Bryce5 into Bryce7. Seems I can't import it, no matter how much research I have done to find out how. The long way would be to open every br5 file in Bryce7, then click on every object that has a mat, and save....ouch...the other thing is, I have .mat files I have downloaded, but never got to use, so don't have them in a br5 file to save from. Any ideas?

You don't have to import anything really... you can copy them directly into
the folders that they would have been imported into by the program.
If you have a User.mat file with your mats in it, just rename it to anything else,
like User2.mat or Bob.mat... anything at all and copy it into the same folder on
your hard drive that contains the standard User.mat file.
When you open Bryce 7 it will now have your User2.mat file in the list if you do it
properly.
You can do this with objects, skies, mats and anything else you want to use.
Just be sure to copy them manually into the correct folders and they will open up
automatically in the program.
Note me if you need any other instructions.
Also, send me an email and I'll shoot some new mats over to you!
I'll note you my email address for you to reply to...
