Description
I’m working on a fanmade Pokemon region - Arkarino - with a whole dex of fakemon! These are the first ones I’ve drawn: the grass-type starter Moccagin and its evolutions Gossydon and Agkistrotton. They’re based on a combination of cottonmouth snakes and cotton like the plant, and I had a really fun time designing them!

Some general notes about them:
-Their descriptions list their height just like canon Pokedex entries do, but in the case of these guys that number is actually their length from nose to tail-tip. So Moccagin is a foot long, not a foot in body diameter (it’s very small and can ride on your shoulder, at least until it evolves).
-Cottonmouths would actually make good water-types, as they like swimming and are also called water moccasins. The cotton pun was just too good to pass up, though.

Name origin: portmanteau of (water) moccasin and (cotton) gin

No two individuals have identical markings. Its scales darken as it ages.

Weight: 132 lbs / 59.8 kg
Its bite can kill a human without treatment. Those venturing into its habitat are advised to carry emergency antivenom with them.
