Description
I sketched the scars Titanic, Berengaria, and Iowa (one of those is not like the others…) have, since those are almost always covered by their clothes so I couldn’t just incorporate them into drawings. Well, I probably could for Iowa and maybe Berengaria as well due to their clothing styles and time periods potentially allowing for partial scar exposure, but Titanic would certainly never wear anything that would reveal so much skin! However, I needed to draw these things out so I can visualize them, so here we are.

Titanic’s scar symbolizes the damage from her fatal iceberg encounter; although the actual damage wasn’t really a huge gash like that, I went with a long uninterrupted scar anyway, partially for the appearance and partially for symbolism.

Berengaria has burn scars on her back and leg, symbolizing the frequent electrical fires she suffered as a ship. She had more fires than her sister Majestic as far as I know, but her scars are smaller since none of those fires destroyed her like Majestic’s did. The ones on her leg make her knee incredibly stiff and difficult to bend, so she walks with a limp.

Iowa has a heart-shaped scar on her chest, representing her turret explosion. It’s much darker in the center, so it looks more like the outward-radiating damage from an explosion rather than a simple fire.
