Koda wasn't gonna deny it, He enjoyed Musti's Company. Sometimes they'd just hang out mostly at the Tap Musti Runs, other times It was random places in town, by the nova tree, or just on a bench somewhere. It gave him a nice break from either watching Del all the time or working odd jobs around town. And while he enjoyed his sister's company, it wasn't the same as when he was hanging out with them.

Today, the two decided to simply just watch over the lake. Koda smiled watching the few puckoo float by along with the fish that would sometimes come up to the surface before diving back down to the depths below. This was the best part, no conversations had to be held between the two, it could be hours of silence, and Koda would still be content.

The blue gro turned his head to look at Musti, the latter mimicking his action. Their eyes fell into a soft half lidded look and Koda let out a soft sigh. A million words he wanted to say but held still. Unknowingly his glands had started glowing a bright yellow.

"I love you"

It had been a slip, and Koda didn't notice what had happened until Musti perked up and stared at him with a questioning gaze, and perhaps it was just imagination, but a faint blush.

"Did you say something?" Musti asked

Koda flushed and mentally cursed, his glands stopped glowing and fell back to default black. He looked at Musti; he hadn't meant to let those words slip. For what seemed like minutes, Koda contemplated whether he should go through with it and just confess. His gaze fell onto Musti's brace along with the light, and somewhat hidden bags under their eyes. He set his shoulders and shook his head.

"Uh, no, haven't said anything till now." he said with a small shrug.

"Oh, Alright then." Koda must've been imagining it as he thought their voice held a sort of disappointed tone.

He turned to look back over the lake. Even if he wanted to be more, Musti needed a good friend right now, and that's what he'll be. He would be content with it.
