Description
I had a TON of notes on Arms and Hands, and fingers. I grabbed what I thought was most important for this tutorial. It was a pain in the butt to place things in some dicernable order, so I hope it doesn't confuse!ENJOY!!!

Wow, good question. IN all honesty there have been several methods for doing so. Mostly you'll want to see reference as certain ethnic types have different arm hair. Some straight, some curly. Some light, some heavy.

True, there is a lot of variety. Why not make a tutorial for that too?

What I like to do is look for celebrities that have the certain type of arm hair I'm looking for. I'm weird, I know, knowing what celebrities have arm hair. xD;;
For example, Orlando Bloom doesn't have a lotta arm hair, but Hugh Jackman (from X-MEN) does.
I use these guys as arm hair references. :>

Can you make a print-friendly version of this? I need this tutorial SO badly, but I need to print it out, and there's no way in hell I'm going to be able to print this out right...

Awesome tutorial. Got me looking at my hands in awe. And I never thought I'd see the words "LUMPS OF FAT!!!" in a hand tutorial, but that's what I get for not keeping an open mind. XD

oh my goodness. your tutorials have helped me out so much! i took some life art classes over the summer, but i couldn't really get the details of the hands and such.
so thank you! i haven't uploaded any new pieces (just a bunch of old ones), but i'll try to get the new ones up (maybe you could critique them (especially the hands )). keep up the great work

You know I would so love to teach a course on Anatomy. At the local conventions here in Texas I have done an Hour long panel on Anatomy.

It's great!
but I'd like to see the veins on the other side of the hand
still amazing!
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Snigom In reply to T2u2y [2008-08-22 17:23:12 +0000 UTC]
Good point. However, veins seem to come and go at different points on the arm (and leg for that matter). The underside of the hand (the palm) shows no veins.
