I know I said that i'd do the Male anatomy next, but this one came up and I decided to do it. I am still working on the male. The notes are there, I just need to draw it out. Let me know if you have any questionsRelated content

The way the lips are drawn reminds me of a cartoon that came on cartoon network a long time ago; Reign: The Conqueror. Very nice tutorial.

Interesting. that art style reminds me of AEON FLUX. I suppose in a way it does look like that. I kind of over exaggerated the lips to get my point across.

The cuarter view of lips is strange. Why would they be thiker in the back of the perspective and thiner in the front?

That is because the edges (sides) of the lips thin out to almost nothing. The middle of the lips are thickest. When it begins to turn the ticker part is seen at the farthest side...the thinner part more towards the front.

You are most welcome! Its funny, most of these came about because I was having trouble. So I went through and drew nothing but Lips and noses until I found a system I could remember

I found your tutorial and reluctantly attempted to sketch a profile of a character doubting that it would go according to plan.
When it comes to art I usually refuse to read anything or take the time to actually stop and study it and let it soak into my mind. Whether or not it's wise is not the point. I go strickly by sight wihtout any structure.
That is how I started off with this tutorial until I found myself not sketching but actually reading the notes and studing it... following the lines and breaking it down in my head.
I crumpled up my first attempt and started over...this time with structure and guidelines!
I think it was the perfect timing with learning to realise that I can't learn out of thin air and finding this torturial which was the perfect match with my stubborn temperment (at least I always come to my sences
