Everything stood still. The wind blew softly as every creature watched with interest. Her friends watched with wide eyes as Chance gazed at his sister from afar, still being held back by the other draconequus. Lily's gaze was fixed towards the ground, trying to process everything. She couldn't believe it. After all these years, the answers were now presented before her. Tears began to well up in her eyes as everyone watched with interest. Her poor father, never got the chance. And her grandparents, taken away before they could even begin the joys of being a parent. That's why he was the last one. Lily thought. Many thoughts swarmed her head. It explained a lot of things and yet...Sofia had her gaze to the ground as well when she finished telling the story as Aegeus crept forward. Coming to the young girl's side he said, "And now you know the truth." His tail lightly rested on her shoulder as he continued, "There the reason we almost went extinct. You can't trust them." Leaving her side he went back to Star who was shakily trying to get her will-power back. He picked her up once more in his magic as he said, "And with this Princess we will finally get what we long-deserved." "And what exactly is that?" Lily finally said. Aegeus looked as she lifted her gaze to match his. Her tears burned as she said, "What good will that do?" "A lesson needs to be taught for all the years of turmoil they have caused my creatures." he said simply. "I know it's a lot to take in young Lily," Sofia stepped in, "But we can't take this risk again, not after last time."

"What good is to come out from this?" Lily said, "You take her life for something she had nothing to do with! Are you any better than what you claim ponies to be?" Mixed murmurs went across the area as Aegeus's gaze darkened. "How dare you insult our kind!" he said darkly, "My mother was one of those few survivors. The stories she told, the turmoil they had to endure to try and repopulate and just scrapping by!" He tighten his grip on Star slightly as she let out a gasp. "Ponies are the reason we are in hiding! They can't be trusted." Lily's claws dug into the soil as she said, "Is that a fact?" "They never change. Never have, never will." Aegeus said in confidence. Her tail lashed slightly as Sofia said, "Don't be so hard on the two cubs, they don't understand-" "I understand plenty your highness." Lily hissed. "Ponies aren't to be trusted right? All are deceitful, unloving, untrustworthy, creatures to walk these lands." Aegeus and Sofia shared a look before looking back at her. "That's what they are." Sofia said with slight uncertainty. She closed her eyes as she said, "Than I guess you can't trust me than either. Me or my brother." Puzzled whispers buzzed around as Joseph watched Lily with curiosity. "What do you mean Lily?" Joseph said slowly. "What do you mean we can't trust you?" Sofia asked. She didn't reply as Aegeus asked, "Look we aren't holding it against you that you've been around these ponies for so long, we understand the misunderstanding-" "No." she replied with a sternness in her voice, "There is no misunderstanding. I've got your message: you can't trust ponies. Than that goes for half ponies too right?" She lifted her head as she revealed her spiral eyes. They glowed as she said, "You can't trust me or my brother because the truth is that I'm only half draconequus!" The two rulers mouths dropped in shock as they starred at the young draconequus. "That's impossible!" Aegeus stuttered, "Who could have possibly-" "I am the Daughter of Discord!" she thundered.

Shocked chatter sprung from this new revelation. Sofia's eyes widen as Aegeus looked back in disbelief. Joseph's heart quicken as he said, "You mean, Discord's alive?" Lily looked back to her captured friends, to Chance, before back at Joseph as she replied, "Why?" "He was going to be heir to the thrown. Son of the great Dissary and Eris." Sofia put in. "My mother was there the night he teleported away," Aegeus added on, "She told me they searched for years across different worlds and cosmos but gave up and assumed he might of gotten capture by ponies." "And to see he not only survived but had two cubs of his own." Sofia beamed slightly looking at Lily and Chance. Lily scowled as she walked over to her friends. The draconequus keeping her friends at bay hesitated as she made her way to them. One look from her spiral eyes was enough for them to back off. "Lily." they said in unison as they all looked up at her. She paused for a moment as she smiled briefly. "I'm sorry I dragged you guys into this." she said before looking back at the Emperor and his Lady. Scoffing, she went into a protective stance before bringing her attention to them. "It's wrong what happened those centuries ago," Lily started, "They didn't deserve to die and yet these guys don't either. They had nothing to do what our ancestors did. Times aren't like they were 100 of moons ago. We're mixed! We're diverse! And most importantly, we are one. It's time we let go and start a new age. If my father can see past the mistakes of our ancestors and marry my pegasus mother, than why can't we stand united together?" Her tail wrapped protectively around her friends. "If you harm them, you'll have to harm me too." she replied.

Sofia and Aegeus met the young cub's firm gaze. "Lily, you are unlike any draconequus we've ever seen before," Sofia said. Her tail flicked as she stood her ground. Suddenly she felt someone standing next to her as she looked to see Joseph at her side. "I'm willing to stand for them too." he said meeting their gaze. Lily smiled as a few other dracoenquus started to join their side. Aegeus shook his head as he tried, "But they..." Joseph's focus laid on the Emperor as his eyes shimmered slightly. "How could you do this Emperor Aegeus," Joseph stepped in with slight anger, "You've always taught us to be humble and caring to all. Isn't that what we stand for?" "Young Joseph," Aegeus said, "You must understand-" "Understand what?" he cut in, "What they did was wrong and uncalled for but turning around to seek revenge isn't going to do any better." Aegeus looked at him in surprise. "But Joseph, you know the history." "So than let's not repeat it." Joseph said. One by one the other draconequus started to stand by their side as they all turned to their leaders. Sofia looked down before walking to the group. She exchanged a look with Lily as she bowed her head in respect. They all looked back at Aegeus as he stood with wide eyes. He looked into the eyes of his subjects as he locked eyes with his wife, than Joseph, the group of ponies, and than finally Lily. Locking in on one another's stare Aegeus drew forward, with Star still in his grip. Everyone tensed as he was only a muzzle away from Lily's unmoving stance. After a few moments of silence, Aegeus gently placed Star next to Lily. In addition to this he used his magic to rid of any injuries and clean up the young alicorn. Star and Lily exchanged a look before looking back at Emperor Aegeus. "I can't say it will be easy for me or some of my subjects," he began, "But I am willing to make a change if it means my creatures getting to live in peace and harmony." Looking from Lily to the group of ponies he said, "My deepest apologies, I am ashamed on the behalf of our good draconequui name." They exchanged a few looks before nodding in unison. Star stepped forward saying, "We forgive you."

With the tension slowly subsiding, apologetic chatter filed the air. Lily looked around to try and find her brother. Spotting him in the crowd she called out "Chance!" Chance ears perked as he turned to the sound of his sister's voice. "Lily!" he cried. The two siblings rushed into each other's embrace as they cried, "I'm SORRY!" "I should be the one whose sorry Tendy," Lily cried, "A great deal of this could have been voided if we had just gotten mom and dad!" "But Lily you did something not even our father could do," he replied pulling back, "It was your hope that kept us going and help us uncover something revolutionary!" "Still I-" she tried as Chance cut in, "It's okay, I forgive you. Lily smiled at her little brother as the rest of their friends dog piled on them. "Lily you did it!" "That could have been a total disaster!" "You saved us!" "Thankfully that's sorted." They hugged for a couple moments before pulling back. Lily wiped away a tear as she said, "I couldn't be here if it weren't for any of you." "Well now that this whole situation ahs been sorted, what now?" Cinnamon asked. "I think I know where to begin..."
