Description Another one of my useless tutorials
Total props go to Sirirachi for teaching me how to rip and allowing me to post a public tutorial for everyone!

How to delete the cube: this is very simple. In order to delete the cube, you need to look in the tab on your right right under the "View", "Search" and "All scenes" buttons (and also another one on the left that I wouldn't know how to call). Use the scrollbar and get to the highlighted word "Cube". Right click on it and select Delete.

How to export in .x: okay, this might seem a little confusing (or maybe not) but once you've done it you will be free from the curse forever (or at least that's what happened in my case). If the export as DirectX (.x) option is not available, you'll need to follow these steps:

+ Go to File > User Preferences
+ Click on the Addons tab
+ On the categories tab, click on Import - Export
+ Scroll down until you find the Import - Export: DirectX X Format and check it

Check out my other tutorials too!

Will there be a guide to convert mmd models into sims 4?

I'm not sure if that's possible to begin with, so as of now, no, I'm sorry.

Thank you for taking the time to do all of this, and sharing your knowledge so selflessly. I have a question, though. What I want to do is rip models from MMD (file is .pmx) to Sims 4. Is it possible to do this? There's some Attack on Titan characters I want to import to the Sims 4, but I don't know how. Are there any specific tutorials you recommend I watch on YouTube? I've been meaning to do this for a while but I'm lost. You don't have to respond, but thank you so much in advance if you do.

Mmmmh I've honestly never done anything like that, and I'm not sure that's possible.
So far I've never seen anyone importing stuff into TS4 outside CC content :/ I'm sorry.

Excuse me if this is a dumb question but;
Is it possible to do this without having sims installed
And with just a mod file?
My computer broke recently and I dont want to reinstall the sims
Id just like to convert mod outfits qwq

Also is this program safe to use? Downloaded it once before and my antivirus hated it

SnowEmbrace In reply to LeaDoll [2018-02-16 11:00:17 +0000 UTC]

I sadly can't be of any help there since I never use mods so I wouldn't know ;;
Have you tried looking on Google? Maybe someone else has had your same problem.

The program is safe to use, yes! Ever since I first installed it I've never had problems with it.

Didnt work at all , i did the steps as you told but when i open it up in pmx editor it dosent load

SnowEmbrace In reply to MantyzazYT [2017-12-13 17:05:43 +0000 UTC]

You must have missed a step or simply got it wrong, me and the others use this method almost on a daily basis and never had problems with it. Do you get any sort of error or something when you try to open your rip in PMX?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MantyzazYT In reply to SnowEmbrace [2017-12-18 19:54:22 +0000 UTC]

it just dosent load , i opened it up in blender exported it into .obj file and imported it , then i exported it into a .x file , then when i try loading it up , it dosent appear in pmx editor.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SnowEmbrace In reply to MantyzazYT [2017-12-18 20:00:15 +0000 UTC]

That's because you have to use PMD Editor, not PMX. You first have to convert the file from .x to .pmd - it's normal that PMX doesn't load it when it's still an .x file.

MantyzazYT In reply to SnowEmbrace [2017-12-29 10:01:20 +0000 UTC]

but how do convert an .x file to a .pmd file , i just downloaded pmd editor and it still dosent work.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SnowEmbrace In reply to MantyzazYT [2017-12-29 17:07:46 +0000 UTC]

That's written in the tutorial. You just have to open the .x file in PMD, follow the steps I wrote, and save it as .pmd.

Could you please show me a screenshot instead of giving me the file itself?
I might be able to understand what's wrong without having to download anything.

MantyzazYT In reply to SnowEmbrace [2018-01-08 19:54:47 +0000 UTC]

i dont know how

but i just realised its just the way that alpha hair works.

nothing is wrong , after your tutorial and thinking for a while i now know that this tutorial only properly works with maxis match or ea original hairstyles.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SnowEmbrace In reply to MantyzazYT [2018-01-11 21:38:07 +0000 UTC]

Ah, well, yeah. I didn't know you were referring to an hairstyle that's not in the game.
I've personally never downloaded anything that doesn't come from Maxis itself, so I don't have enough experience with CC and other stuff like that.

However, I did download an already converted CC TS4 hairstyle some time ago, and I never managed to make it work properly either. The texture looks like shit and there's no way to fix it :/

the model

p-p

he got a pink texture not the original texture PNP

SnowEmbrace In reply to helou123 [2017-11-08 17:31:01 +0000 UTC]

Mh, that's weird. The only time the model has to appear pink/magenta is during the Blender step.
Can you show me a screenshot?

Yeah they literally refuse to work in mmd unless you painfully separate everything and put them in a particular order

Thanks for the tutorial ! Is it possible to export a full Sims model this way as well ?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SnowEmbrace In reply to aidah2o [2017-03-19 20:18:19 +0000 UTC]

Oh I think so, besides you can export other parts of the body too such as the head, the skin color etc...
So I believe exporting a full Sim would be possible too!!

This is so cool *-* Do you think you could do a Sims hair/clothing pack sometime in the future?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SnowEmbrace In reply to ZodiacLily [2017-03-14 22:51:31 +0000 UTC]

Oh yes, I could totally do that.
I just need to figure out how to share rigged clothes because I've never done that before and eventually be able to add good physics and bones to the hair...
