Description Another one of my useless tutorials
Total props go to Sirirachi for teaching me how to rip and allowing me to post a public tutorial for everyone!

How to delete the cube: this is very simple. In order to delete the cube, you need to look in the tab on your right right under the "View", "Search" and "All scenes" buttons (and also another one on the left that I wouldn't know how to call). Use the scrollbar and get to the highlighted word "Cube". Right click on it and select Delete.

How to export in .x: okay, this might seem a little confusing (or maybe not) but once you've done it you will be free from the curse forever (or at least that's what happened in my case). If the export as DirectX (.x) option is not available, you'll need to follow these steps:

+ Go to File > User Preferences
+ Click on the Addons tab
+ On the categories tab, click on Import - Export
+ Scroll down until you find the Import - Export: DirectX X Format and check it

That might be due to a specific option that appears when you open the .x file in PMD.

This is what appears on my screen, try to check if it's the same for you -

In PMD, once you select the parts you want to delete, there should be a button with a (P) next to the japanese words (if your version of the software is in japanese) once you click on Edit in the Vert/Mat. tab (letter V on the upper part of the interface). Sorry for the late reply!

As far as I know, yep! Because the program extracts the materials and textures from there, depending on what expansions you own, too.

This is way late now but for anyone else who has this issue, you have to copy your mods into the Studio's document mod folder for the custom content section to show up.

Not that I know of! So far the only options with "Create 3D Mesh" are CAS and objects like furniture.

1) I had no idea The Sims Studio allowed to export blend files. Is it a new option? Either way, the original tutorial was given to me by another person so I just visually translated what was said to me, aka if it was possible to so before I didn't know back then.

2) Sadly not, I've never had issues with exporting the meshes. Have you perhaps changed anything in the options? Or maybe the files you are trying to export are too heavy? Seems like they get damaged or something hence why Blender doesn't show anything when you try to open them :/

I know that I'm more than a month late but I actually happened to take took a look at the tutorial again and I think there was some kind of misunderstanding, because it actually does explain that you have to convert the file to .obj before doing anything else. Like, TSS exports it as .blend, as I show in the screenshot of my folder. The next step is to convert it to .obj.

Probably won’t work as it won’t save the mesh as a blender file because it can’t find my blender : /

So, can you use S4S to rip an existing sim? Like, if you created a sim in game and its how you want it, can you use S4S to get them out of the game?

This tutorial  is very useful. I knew how to export small items in sims 3 but not in sims 4 so I will try this now. 
Another thing, I've tried to export a whole sim from sims 3 using ninjaripper. Everything went smoothly. The uvs were messed up but I readjusted them to fit the mesh nicely and even rigged the whole model in mmd. But the problem is that the face of the sim wasn't customized. The ripper just exported the default face mesh. And I'm not really happy with the default face shape. 
Is there any way to export a customized sim from sims 4? Just the head will be fine because I only need that.

I'm sadly not sure about that, but I don't think that's possible yet :/
