Description
Very quick and simple tutorial about the basic things you need to know about XNALara -w- Kinda a request by some people I think?By the way, as I wrote in the end XNALara is not so difficult if you already have some experience with MMD... but I can understand that using more models at the same time and putting them in particular poses can be hard... I'm at the beginning myself xD This tutorial is just a way to show that making simple pics like the ones I recently uploaded is pretty easy.

Thank you so very much, I only since today started to work with XNA and I had no clue what I was doing until I found you. Once again thank you very much!

I'm not sure, I've actually never tried that. Logically speaking it would make sense, but I don't think I've seen the option anywhere...

Hmm... Me neither. Nothing much came up with a simple Google search either.
It's just that I recently installed XNALara to be able to view this character model: www.deviantart.com/dragonlord7…
What's really annoying me is that his legs clip through the bottom half of his changpao (what he is wearing) when I move them, not to mention his pelvis isn't properly rigged as well.
*Sigh* There is nothing more disappointing than downloading an improperly rigged character model. Smh

1) Open XNALara, open your model
2) Modify > Export scene as .obj
3) Open your .obj file in Blender
4) Export the .obj file in .x format
5) Open the .x file in PMD
And that's it! I think there's a tutorial up for this actually, so if you need me to link it, I will

thanks! this really helps with learning to use this program! is this why all your pictures look so amazing? cuz you make them in XNAlara?

SnowEmbrace In reply to jjj6 [2017-12-08 17:24:02 +0000 UTC]
Actually, no, I mainly use MMD. The only times I used XNALara the pictures didn't come out like I wanted them to, so I dropped it, lol.
I guess you need a lot of practice with this program before being satisfied with what you make. I've been used to MMD for so long that I can hardly try anything new.

I sincerely wish there was.
And maybe there is, but I don't know about it because I rarely use this program.

Then I'm afraid I don't know how to exactly move the camera around - I still haven't used XNALara stages and that was the only information I could find.
I'm really sorry ;;;

Very nice! Seems simple enough, I always have issues moving the camera on other programs like XNALara and blender lol, but I think this helps to understand this program better for me c:

You can center the camera to a body part, using the "drop-down lists" on the "left bottom" ... called "Camera pivot:"
This list should contains camra targets like:
- head
- body upper
- body lower
- hand left
- hand right
- knee left
- knee right
- foot left
- foot right
- root
- selected bone
You can also walk through this predefined camera targets using the keys 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 0 ... to look-at this body parts.
Take also a look to the menu "Help-->3D window controls"
Recognizing menus isn't always easy, because not all menu controls look alike or even appear on a menu bar. So how can you spot them? When you see an arrow next to a word or picture, you're probably looking at a menu control.
Using drop-down lists
Drop-down lists are similar to menus. Instead of clicking a command, though, you choose an option. When closed, a drop-down list shows only the currently selected option. The other available options are hidden until you click the control.
To open a drop-down list, click it. To choose an option from the list, click the option, like "body upper".
