EDIT: Finally added some whiskers to these guys because thatβs been bugging me for years XDSo this is a follow up from the brilliantly talented works of DJ88 Β
I share most of her same views on this topic, so if you'd like to read that explanation, I'd read the description under her beautiful piece.
Anyways, basically I added Lion Guard Simba to the mix. He doesn't look as bad as I originally thought he would. But those eyes are huge. O-O
I tried to follow the styles from each individual movie the best I could, I hope it turned out ok.

To me, Disney really screwed up with TLG design of SimbaΒ .
I mean I can understand the second one, but really with the thirdΒ .

Looking at them altogether, it looks as though SP Simba could be the FATHER of his younger self. That's how big the difference between them is; his features fattened up and darkened, and his eyes are dull. I don't like the way they portray Simba in the second movie. Lovely piece.

I actually like both the Simbas: the one from TLK, and the one from TLK2SP. Β The one from TLG, however, is really, really bad. Not to mention, the animation is TE-HE-RABBLE! Ugh! MLP FiM's animation seems better when juxtaposed with TLG!Β Β

Seeing this makes me realize how much I adore the original design; TLG one doesn't even look like Simba and the SP one always looked distorted to me.

You did a great job redesigning them all to look like their original counter parts. It really shows the difference between the movies and the tv show. Good job!

Very nicely done!! Haha, his eyes get bigger and bigger the more they alter his design, it seems. But of course, the Lion Guard design isn't even close to the quality of the TLK and SP designs. The SP version could just be seen as if Simba would have grown and matured (if one wants an explanation that goes in the story), but I can't come up with a theory for the TLG version. It's just a low budget design

Yea, I actually think it's the big eyes and bushy eyebrows that make him look so weird. If they would make the eyes smaller, the eyebrows less bushy and work on the paws a bit, I think his design might be very nice for being in a Disney Junior show!

0.0 i cant decide if the 1st or 2nd simba is the best looking.... but the lion guard simba....SOMEBODY MURDER ME HE LOOKS BAD! (what i mean is that he just... he just looks false in the movie! you cant even recognize the voice OR the looks! IT IS JUST BAD MAN BAD MOVIE! i mean it is ok for compared to some shows, but they could have done beta. Fuli is a cheetah, just a King Cheetah, the rarer kind which the could have specified man. Simba is just...NOT simba ....and i just,... i just no dont like it.)

Ya know, personally I think Simba 1 and 2 actually make up nicely, considering the 2nd Simba is father and thus older than the 1st Simba. I think 1st Simba looks younger and 2nd Simba older. But the 3rd Simba? I thought it was, compared to the previous ones,Β rather disappointing.
Now for your drawing: I don't know how you did it, but they look very much alike from where they originally come from! Jolly good job!
