EDIT: Finally added some whiskers to these guys because that’s been bugging me for years XDSo this is a follow up from the brilliantly talented works of DJ88
I share most of her same views on this topic, so if you'd like to read that explanation, I'd read the description under her beautiful piece.
Anyways, basically I added Lion Guard Simba to the mix. He doesn't look as bad as I originally thought he would. But those eyes are huge. O-O
I tried to follow the styles from each individual movie the best I could, I hope it turned out ok.

OH! Sorry I misunderstood. I might do one in the future but I really only planned to do Simba.
He was very overprotective in the second movie, but I think it makes for a good character choice and he wasn't a "perfect" parent.

Like everyone else, my favorite Simba is the one from the first movie, he had more of a soft side, and the second movie Simba sure felt like he was too mistrusting a lot.

It's important to remember that TLG Simba is Simba represented in Disney Junior.
E.g. big eyes, big eyebrows, mane doesn't cover chest.
At least they got his colours close to his TLK counterpart.
I'm not sure what Disney was thinking with Simba's SP colours.
Looks almost like a different character.

Yeah, I understand that, but think of how many children were in love with the first Lion King without having to use extremely overblown proportions. I know it's more eye catching for them, I just think continuity is more important.
They probably A) tried to make it more appealing (but failed) and B) tried to make him look older but in all actuality he wasn't any older.

I love this! I don't understand why Disney is almost as bad at keeping character styles as it is creating offspring for characters. Lady and the Tramp 2 anyone? Any decent fan artist is better at both these things as your piece shows.

Scamp is identical to Tramp and the female pups are identical to Lady. The pups should be a mix of both parents. Making the pups look just like one parent is lazy designing in my opinion.

I think TLG Simba's mane is too "short"
But I guess I like it more than TLK 2's.
Also, I don't like his innner ear color, neither the eyering colors xd They just...too different. Did He evolve or something, like Pokemon?
Oh well, I still want to see that TLG movie, as It seems interesting. I guess I can live with the fact that TLG Simba is his last form (or maybe he evolve once more? O___O ) for now.

I personally enjoyed TLG, but it's a matter of opinion as a few of people have said they didn't like it. I'd see it for yourself to really know.

I have only opinions and first thoughts before seeing it - And I think it is good.
But there will be a big negative thing. They don't grow up (?) in the movies... I wanna see adult version of them too.

I was very disappointed when I found out Kiara was going to be represented as a cub. I was hoping for a big sister-little brother dynamic that we have yet to see in the TLK franchise. I don't mind not seeing Kion and the others grown up, but the whole Kiara-as-a-cub thing really bothers me.

Well I liked the idea of Lion Guard, but sadly It just...ugh..... makes things more complicated (or at least Kion does)
That would have been awesome if Kiara was like...teen sis. Sadly weren't. Other thing would have been that she could've been his mom. I really when i first heard of some new TLK movie, I was like "why Simba's and Nala's son? Why not Kovu's and Kiara's?", ._. Luckily i've gotten used to it now.

I´ve seen a few clips (two or thee, not more) on this new TLG thing (basically, looking for Nala, my favorite character from the whole saga), but to me, more worrying than the heads designs is that adult lions in TLG look bizzarly short XP

They're a lot smaller, making the neck seem way too big. But basically Simba is the only adult male lion we've seen so far,(Besides Mufasa but that was only his head) and Nala actually looks decent compared to him.

I think that Lion Guard Simba kind of looks like a mix of TLK1 and TLK2 Simba. Veeery odd. You drew him very well in all three styles, though!
