Description
These kinds of spiders can be found over the world. There are 6,000 species of jumping spider, ranging from 2 to 25mm, but generally average out at 15mm. The largest of these can be found in Australia, which is called the hyllus giganteus. They live for about a year. They're not dangerous to humans, but use their venom to kill their prey. They don't build webs, but rather jump onto their prey by surprise and injecting them with venom. They do use silk to tether themselves to where they jumped from in case of failure. They also use silk to build a shelter during bad weather and while sleeping. They have excellent eyesight, with their two main eyes used for their main vision, while the others help in periphery vision.
