Yay for Disney's attempt at pokemon! These are Spectrobes of my own design: a baby, an adult and an evolved form...uh I don't have names for em yet, what do they look like? Hm, lotsa influences pretty obvious here, though I didnt even realise til after: Okami, Zelda, Spirited away, and it's pretty much Kyubimon from digimon.Ok so the mask on his head is actually a portal to another dimension. So as a baby he isn't very responsive because his brain is in another dimension. Then as an adult he has to lear to battle in our dimension while he is seeing and learning in the other dimension..this makes him super powerful and skillllled. Then as an evolved form he has learned the secrects of the other dimension and has harnessed the power to create his own universe which he carries round with him...why not.
Uuuum so yeah when the Disney guys interviewed me they liked my work and said if I wanted to be a concept artist I must just keep working at it. They unfortunatley were looking for people who use flash and illustrator more than anything else. Oh well... It was definately fun!

So what property system were you going by? Nanairo (Corona, Aurora, Flash) or Kaio (Fire, Plant, Earth, Sky, Water)?
Also, I have my own spectrobe whose peoperty is a mix of all five. Any chance you can draw his three forms?

Or something like that. It mostly reminded me of Kyubimon so I went with that sort of concept. Strange namesβ¦.I tried.

I like the names, but the spectrobe resembles a fox/dog since it is looks likeΒ Kyubimon. The god spectrobes will most likely to have inu, noto and doros at the end since Komainu, komanoto, komadoros, shimainu, shimanoto and shimadoros resemble dogs.Β

Adding on to what you said you also have a pretty good names, it has a good ring to it. But I didn't include the 'inu' 'noto' and 'doros' mainly because they are dogs. Kyubimon was a fox and in Japanese mythology kitsune can be bad or good. bad as in tricksters and good as in the servants of the rice god Inari (if I remember correctly).

Well, if you're looking for suggestions, since his brain is in another dimension, how about for the Child form: Dimei, Adult Dimeinlup and Evolved: Dimenalpha?

the pan thing looks kinda weird but i would say this is as close to a spectrobe that ive seen out of a fan...in other words you miss or sir. could make the next gen of spectrobes XD

they are so cute! XD i can see the resemblances but hes still very cool.
im constantly stuck training the spectrobes. i find out the game is very short. V_V only 20 hours. i think ive cranked over that just lvling up.

i do like playing the wii version! if only there was show or a movie based on their in game CG. I think it might be pretty good if it follows the books the games are either inspired from or adapted to. either way its a cool concept disney should keep at it, even if its only to the niche of fans.
