This is really different! I love the shadow effect of the wolves running. It seems to me, they're running into the night with the northern lights sky ( that's just what my imagination says) Pretty awesome reflection of hues throughout!
As for tips, I have been reading some books on Lighting effects... I think we often forget that it's not ALL about pigment, and adding colour... but I think adding in CLEAR water and letting that water do it's thing (like adding mist, smoke etc) to the work can be really enlightening and fun! Also work on gradients/washes that go from light to deep! Even in one tone! I think you already do well at gradients though. Whereas me.... not so much XD.. but anyway -- Lighting, mood and atmosphere books look really good!
If I find anything really intriguing I will be sure to let you know or I'll link/write it up on my wordpress. I'm actually thinking of "learning" techniques and posting the progresses on there...

That's totally what I imagined! Wolves running at night with the northern lights in the sky!
Oh yes! Good tip! Mist and smoke could be pretty cool to experiment with. Oh I have soooo much to learn
That's a good idea! Once you get a little "library" of things you've learnt they can also inspire you to create new artworks

It makes me think of Balto.. Please tell me you saw BALTO!
Yes the mist/smoke technique looks amazing in watercolours... IT may also work in gouache? Since Gouache is like an opaque watercolour.. it may even work better?
Don't we all have SO much to learn LOL
YES! It would be awesome to put practice to good use and make like a little study library of things.. which you can look back at and draw ideas from.
