I don't think knitting is this giraffes favorite hobby (probably not any giraffes)There's something weird with my scanner - it dosen't like blueish colors. The top dark green is actually a more blue/green. Hope it looks okay anyway

You can try taking a photo of your work and cropping it down so you don't get scanner-induced problems.
Art in person generally looks better and I find taking a photo over a scan is sometimes closer to what the eye sees - especially if you make sure your angle and no confusing lights are over your work. Just a thought if you want to try it in the future.
It is still a very lovely piece of work. lovely shadows, anatomy, and colour use.

Ah yes - I've actually done that with my octopus painting (it's too big for my scanner, A3).
All the factors you've mentioned really does the difference when taking a photo of your work, and usually I'm done with mine late so the sun has already set. I'm to impatient to wait for the following day, so I can take a good photo with proper lighting, I just want to upload it right away But it might be a good idea to give the whole photo a try - I must restrain myself!
Thank you so much!

Haha definitely only take photos in the day for your artwork!
Your octopus painting looks really good (quality of image) so you did a good job with the photowork!
Patience may be helpful lol
You're welcome

Wonderful as well
I have the same problem with my scanner. I think light blue hues get filtered out because the scanner thinks they are shadows on white paper..., maybe?
