Description
They walked out into the crew quarters corridors, where very quickly it became apparent that there had been a lot of casualties. Still, a lot of them were moving, and it was their job to help. The sight of the injured, as well as the smell of death and blood in the air, made her momentarily light-headed.
Finally, Spew gets her own shot!
Daz 4.9 with iRay, about 12,000 iterations over an hour and three-quarters.Β

Although I love the DOF and her face expression, the very blurred head of the girl in the foreground is distracting. I would change either the angle of the camera to leave her face out, move more in so that she's further to the corner.

True, having such a blurry character so close to the subject is distracting. Thanks very much for having a look!

I'm working on a render right now using just an HDRIΒ for light...900 iterations in 4 mins, clear as a bell. This rendering is sometimes like the Dark Arts! How does it work? I dunno!

Haha. I love HDRI's for that! They're sooooo fast! Just more limiting in what you can do, and how you can pose it. I've been working hard on improving my "shadowing" to help my characters blend into an HDRI background better.

The rig is pretty stacked, yeah...but with iRay, I find some stuff goes even faster- the record is nearly 200 iterations per minute. Seems to depend on lighting to an extent. Mesh lights and HDRIs go fast, other lights not so much. I still have had a few which crank away for hours with little to show for it!
