thanks for this! I haven't gotten the chance to use GIMP much lately (or do much art period) but I'm adding this to my favorites so I can refer back to it. All I need now is an actual mouse on my laptop instead of this dumb touchpad and I'm good

You can download a free trial from adobe.com or you can buy it. But it is really expensive.

You can get Photoshop elements for about £50 (~$100), which is a lot cheaper than the full £300 (~$600) full version but I don't know how good it is...

I've just started using GIMP. It seems to do most things photoshop can do, and it's free so you might as well try it out, even if you find you don't like it!
