Description Yup. Its kind of weird but I really am happy I got this finished, didnt even turn out as bad as I thought it would. Really enjoyed coloring this. c:

A dragon doesn't always have to be the bad guy.

Streamed like the last 3 hours of coloring, so a pretty big part. Took maybe about.. 5, 6 hours to finish, not sure how long exactly. Used ps/tablet, like always.

The concept is simply fantastic. The dragon not being the bad one is just the beginning, the fact that the dragon has to carry a shield to protect itself from a fire-spitting humanoid... this image made my day. Thanks a lot for making this.

Ha, I was waiting for this question. Yeah, he would. I tried to give him armor, but it just looked like 'too much'. I didnt want it to look too ridiculous and surreal, wanted to have it halfways serious, you know. The guy shouldnt have any horns or just anything on basically, but that would look stupid. Yeah, I see what you mean, it could get pretty ridiculous pretty fast. (Though what would've been epic would've been a giant human spraying fire at a small dragon protecting himself with the shield.)

I've always been a big fan of fantasy pictures/paintings, and in this picture, I feel that same rush I felt as a kid before I fought the final boss of a game. Great work.
