Description
Taken from atop Mt. Scott in the Wichita Mountains in southwestern Oklahoma. These mountains are over 650 million years old, making them the oldest in the US. At 2700 plus feet they are not very tall anymore having been worn down over the millions of years. Now they are mostly all granite rock with very little soil.
It is a very beautiful and peaceful area.
*sigh*

I agree with firstfooter, I would have liked for it to be bigger..
But it's a beautiful picture, and beautiful nature.. I would love to just walk into that photo and enjoy some fresh air and pretty nature..
Them trees look so green, and the mountains in the distance are so blue and so magnificent.. We have cool nature here in Norway too.. Actually, Norway consists almost purely of mountains and fjords... I should get some picture of it once.
Lovely dear. I love your photos, they make my mind wander..
