Ohhhhh that is guts there.... I would have to have a zoom that would allow a 56 ft range between me and a mini beast like that, but I do agree they are wonderful WILD pets.

lol....

These type are pretty harmless. They spin beautiful webs. They are rainbow colored in the sunlight, but mostly they spin their webs in the shadows.

Wow, awesome spider, love the angle and how close it is, your lucky, around here we only have smple brown spiders, rather boring colored ones, this one is excellent

These pretty little things are all over the place here. Last year, one made a web, strung it between the porch and the carport, a span of about eight feet. It was tremendous, about 6x8. Looked like a dreamcatcher. I didn't get a shot of it though. Kickin' myself now. Their webs are all rainbow colored in the sunlight. Very pretty.

Oy. That's some angle. How did you do that?

But cool photo though! I always like your titles, more often than not the put a smile on my face and make me giggle. And I can just hear this spider going "come here, my little pretty....yeeees....come here...", in a slow, screech-like voice, luring at some ladybug or something. It's really weird, hearing spider-voices inside my head, but you're to blame! Muahah! Ehm. Right..

Ah. Took a closer look at your photo; now I see how you did the angle. I should get my sight checked, I think it's getting worse...which really isn't any excuse, as I'm near-sighted, and can see this spider nice and clear.. anyhow! Cool. Can't believe you got so close to it.. It looks huge in this photo...is it huge? I like huge spiders. And the marks on his back are so great! We only have plain, boring spiders here in Norway... my friends are dead-scared of them anyhow though. The usually call me when they want a spider removed. It's strange. Who ever, with their minds set right, would want a spider removed? Hihihi.

He, or she.... is about 3 inched across, including it's legs. We have bigger ones from time to time. Last year, with all the grasshoppers, some got huge!

BTW what kind is it?

I think it is a Garden spider...not sure which kind, but they eat lots of insects, flys, grasshoppers, etc.

That is a great photo... but damn I hate spiders.
I wish I could get over my fear because they are interesting little creatures...

I have a bunch of those spiders in my yard. They have gigantic egg sacs. o.q;;

We have a lot too. They eat flys and grasshoppers, etc. Last year was a very bad year for grasshoppers around here. That meant lots of these critters all over the place, but they are good spiders and as long as they stay outside.....

Thanks so much for the fav! Totally unexpected!
