I would LOVE to use this as my laptop skin!!!!
None of the prints sold here would work for this purpose.
If I made a donation would you let me do so, and how much do you feel my use would be worth?.
(At least 15 of my friends are artists so I know the effort that goes into each print.)
If you want we can discuss this in email.
Thanks!

All the websites copying this image have converted it to JPG and completely ruined the quality. Other pictures were nearly unreadable. Thank goodness I found my way back to the source, lossless imaging FTW.

::sigh:: ya... I don't object to re-posters, but I am annoyed that some sites don't link back to the source. For the exact reason you mentioned. Glad you like my poster!

umm you might need to make a correction to 2.0 because intel socket 478 NEVER has the core2duo nor core solo only 755 and newer support that cpu otherwise love the chart excited about the coming 2.0

It's annoying because I'm always finding exceptions to the 478/479 standards.
For instance, the mac Mini uses a socket 479, but only used Core Solo/Duo and Core2Duo CPUs. Another one is Socket P (also called mPGA 478) supports Core 2s.
But you are correct. officially, socket 478 (Socket N) doesn't support core/2. I'll be revisiting this list before 2.0 is posted.
Thank you for the correction!

i know its batty because 479 uses 478 pins in a different config
and socket P uses 478 pins
just in a totally different config then the first two
and then there is socket M witch actually has 479 pins but fits into socket 479 but DONT work @_@

Love the graphic! I am putting together a fact sheet for the Sustainable Electronics Initiative (www.sustainelectronics.illinois.edu) about various computer parts and materials they contain. Do I have your permission to use the graphic?

I work at a PC parts store; if you're still doing revisions of this I'd be happy to get you some pictures. Stuff like LGA1156, AM3, USB3, or even batches of processor top or contact-side shots to go along with the socket images.

That would be great! I am still looking for those. I don't think I'll be using actual CPUs for my current projects, but the more source material the better. Thanks again!

You should change the picture of the FBDimm ram module to one which doesn't have a heat spreader, so that we can see the buffer chip on it.
