I have a shading question! Do you shade black?

SonicFF In reply to DraconicSonic [2010-09-21 22:41:47 +0000 UTC]
What I usually do (let's take Shadow for example)
Is I color him a color that is a little bit lighter than straight black...
and then yes, I shade him with black.
But it's it pure black, like a leather jacket... I only do lighting, with no shading.
So the answer is yes or no. it can go either way.

nice.
however i use the colour burn and colour dodge tools present in photoshop combined with ajustments to the Octpacity and flow. this creates the right colours automaticly (in my opinion)
although.. i try this out. cos it seems hel'ova lot easyer.
Welldone Indeah and Apol.

Yes, the color burn and dodge tool works in photoshop lol
but I'm using Alias Sketchbook so it's a bit different
Thanks
