I like to draw my female Mobians with navels and big hips and non-noodle arms. I like to draw my male Mobians with a box shaped body and no pants and also non-noodle arms. But you have it your way, I have it my way.

but I use a lot of baggy clothes
+pants on males. Why did not put them on males? No offense old me, but it seemed...a bit odd.

Probably because, even in the cartoon world, for some reason girls are more sexualized then boys... and so we associate, even when they're little, as "naked" when they don't have clothes on versus... Sonic who's "naked" but we just associate him as a hedgehog... I don't know, it's silly.

Even though I'm glad you're making these to help other people out, I think Sonic characters look good being a kind of mix between anthro and this kind of style. With the result being somewhere in-between the two styles. Part of the reason was that it helped make it feel a bit more realistic. Which I like to add to my works whenever possible, and not just Sonic (though I think my male Sonic-style legs still seem sorta cartoonish, but they're fine to me; but even so, I think I should practice a style that really is a mix between Sonic-style and anthro for the legs still). And I thought that females looked alright with visible navels to be honest. (I think I may draw muscular features found on humans also sometimes, but only for certain scenes with cartoonish exaggeration present.) But I guess each style is unique to everyone, it may just be the individual's preference in this case. Hope I can improve on finding the right mix though. And I needed help with ears still, so I think I should try to learn that from here. And thanks for making this.

Really reflects Mobians' real anatomy.
The only thing i don't agree with is "if your charas are birds,don't give them curly hair."
My chara is a bird and has curly hair... :I I don't see why cartoony birds can't have curly hair.

In my head... Birds have feathers, not hair... so why would their feathers curl? You can do things like... quails, they have a little curl to their feathers... or cockatiel... but other then that, it doesn't make much sense in the "sonic franchise" world
but you can do what you want, I'm not the "God of cartoons"
so if you want your bird to have curly hair, go for it

The fact is that my character's hair is dark blonde,and it's an apart thing from the feathers that are black.
