Description Just northeast of Holodrum's Eyeglass Lake stood the entrance to the dungeon known as Unicorn's Cave, home to the fifth Essence of Nature.  Syger lounged in the rafters above his chamber, staring down at the green octagon-tiled floor and red walls.  He knew the hero that had conquered the preceding four dungeons and claimed the Essences therein had already infiltrated, and was due to enter his lair at any moment.  "Link", they called him.  What a silly name.
Syger's tail unconsciously twitched back and forth, and he reached back and caught it, glancing into the red crystal ball set into the tip.  The crystal ball was a special magical object, and held his life force; he literally couldn't survive without it.
CHU-CHUNG.
The sabertooth perked up at the noise of a metallic shutter slamming shut.  A young boy in a green tunic had just entered the chamber.  It was go time.  Without a second's hesitation, Syger dropped from the rafters, immediately performing a frontflip and tucking in his head and limbs.  As he did, his body melted into itself, taking the shape of a fanged sphere.  He felt himself bounce on the floor a few times, then uncurled and stood upright, showing himself to be easily twice the size of his foe.
After pausing for a moment to regain his bearings, Syger balled himself up again and took off rolling at top speed, aiming to pulverize the green-clad intruder under his invulnerable fur and fangs.  He had full confidence that he would be the one opponent this "Link" would be unable to defeat.  Of course, so had all the others before him...

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages were my very first Zelda games.  I owned both original releases, and downloaded them both on 3DS Virtual Console (mainly because I lost my copy of Ages).  Syger (read about him here) is my favorite miniboss in either game, for reasons that should be guessable by anyone familiar enough with me.  I've been meaning to do this-- a Mobian version of said miniboss-- for a very long time, and it seemed like an appropriate project for when I got myself to start drawing again.

I love saber toothed tigers ( my favourite is Diego from ice Age and I already give the shape of balled-up, four times) and I think it's a great power for this character.

But, how can he rolls with his tooth on his back.

I'd object to this line of questioning, but that'd almost certainly be hypocritical of me.

Keep in mind that this is a redesign of an existing video game miniboss.  His powers are more or less as they were presented in the original game.

But, how can he rolls with his tooth on his back.
I don't have an answer prepared for this question, but I'd guess that either his fangs fold flat against his body for the split second it takes for them to pass the floor, or they're just intangible to the floor somehow.

And he is melting when he gets the transformation.

How he is doing that ?

Then, the crystal ball gave his power to be balled up, but how is he find it ?

Not sure.  Magic, probably.

Then, the crystal ball gave his power to be balled up, but how is he find it ?
He didn't find it, it was given to him.  Perhaps he was resurrected from the dead, and the crystal ball was part of that.

Oracle of seasons and ages are one of the best zelda games to boot! do you know about the secret true ending?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

sonicinterface In reply to Lolocator [2014-07-10 13:14:37 +0000 UTC]

The one you get by using the code you get at the end of one game to begin the other?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Lolocator In reply to sonicinterface [2014-07-10 17:05:18 +0000 UTC]

Yep, if I remember correctly the ending has one hell of a tragic ending, all the people in both worlds of seasons and time are sacrificed to create Gannon by creating some crazy fire, which adsorbs the life of everyone but Link.

The ball form reminds me of an anime I watched once.

Aside from that, it's a decent drawing.

I thought you wouldn't be interested since you voiced your opinion about anime?

Especially since the only thing your drawing and that have in common is turning into a ball.
