I lost my last edit of her form, so I'm keeping the most recent version of it here so I can edit it when I can and not lose it again -w-

Personality: Suzu holds herself as a confident, focused, and driven individual, searching only for the righteous route and aiming to make a difference in this world. She tries her hardest in everything she does, taking any offer to help she can, and generally approaches every situation with as much seriousness and focus as possible. She does have a bit of sass attached to this determined package, and occasionally she could come off as impolite and perhaps uncaring when she interacts with others, but she never means any harm. She otherwise has the will to be the student who wants to learn and move the world in some way, shape or form, and she'll fight whoever necessary to do so.

One big fault in Suzu's character is that she cares a lot about how other people see her. How she behaves around others could very well be just a decoy to keep attention away from what she calls her faults... She hides her missing arm to keep anyone from thinking she is "weak" or "has a disadvantage and needs to be treated carefully." She holds herself high and as confidently as possible as to seem strong and responsible to those watching. The problem with this is that she had to hold back her emotions to keep them from distracting her and others from the image she wanted to present... Which often proves a great difficulty for her due to her truly expressive nature; she is short tempered, easily-excitable, and a cry baby at heart. She often stresses herself repressing all her emotions, and during stressful situations they always slip; something she usually isn't happy about. Be wary, as she can also be very bull-headed; as in when she wants something or gets overly upset, she can become very persistent. This terrible habit-- one she also tries hard to repress due to her childhood accident-- can cause her to get into fights and perhaps harm others if she and her provokers are not careful.

Likes: Spicy or dry/burnt food; warm days; fire; carrying anything heavy; kids or small creatures (she tends to hide this fact); crystals and geodes (she collects them); her brother, Yalvik

Backstory: Suzu's beginnings did not start out as humble, per say. Not even a week after her birth she was abandoned by her parents, being left out at the step of a small-town hall for her to be found. She was picked up by a Charizard ex-ranger pair, and after failing to locate her true family, they took her under their wing as their own. Around six or so months later, she helped greet her adoptive mother's son, Yalvik, into the world. Ever since his birth, the two became inseparable. They refused to do anything without each other, and their bond only grew stronger as they grew older. By the time the pair were around 14 years of age each, they had decided that they wanted to follow in their parent's footsteps; to become an independent ranger team and save other 'mons as well as wildlife. Their parents were ever supportive of their ambitions, and after some tutoring on their behalf, they sent them out on their first mild mission: a scavenger hunt for "the fair maiden" plush to check their tracking skills. The test was interrupted by a scream from their town, then a fast-moving figure followed by a Mightyana dodging them as it ran past from the source of the commotion. Suzu quickly gave chase, immediately assuming this mysterious figure and pooch was a thief and was causing harm to her village. Yalvik, of course terrified but not wanting to be left behind, followed.

Unfortunately, chasing after the figure was a huge mistake; the thief-- who Suzu later figured out was a kishin-- seemed to be aware of its young pursuers and took great pleasure in showing them up. The figure stopped and suddenly turned on them, taking a swing at Suzu and hence beginning the fight. As much as the Sandshrew tried, she was clearly outmatched in skill and experience and soon found herself failing to cause her opponent any harm. At one point, she opened herself up to an opportunity to be grabbed and harshly thrown to the ground, and before she could possibly get up and move, the kishin had sicced its Mightyana on her as it made its escape. At this point, Yalvik finally found the courage to step in and help save her sister, but unfortunately by then it was too late; in her struggle to get free, the canine 'mon had grabbed her arms and ended up ripping the bone out of its socket as well as tearing major tendons and other muscles and skin that kept it together. Yalvik hurriedly escorted his sister back to their village and to the local hospital. There they managed to treat her other injuries, however grievingly declared her torn arm unrepairable and thereby had it amputated.

The loss of Suzu's arm devastated her family. Yalvik took it the hardest; he was scarred by the incident and had quickly grown overly-protective of his sister. He restrained her, keeping her from any stressful situation as much as he was able and refused to try any rescue business again. Unfortunately, this behavior unknowingly harmed the Sandslash even worse than her injury, she growing to hate her new disability and hating every moment of everyone thinking she is now unworthy. She just wanted to get back up again and prove herself-- that she can push past her weaknesses and still help and make a difference in this world-- but with her loving brother now holding her back... She would have fallen into depression. About a year after her injury healed, her remaining arm mysteriously changed shape to that of a spear. Her parents pulled her aside in her panic and explained to her what had occurred; an explanation they had researched and prepared for since their assumptions grew. The little information they know of her family line as well as the odd fangs she grew made them ever watchful. Curiosity from the Sandslash developed since then, the history of weapons and meisters, kishins, and, later into her research, the DWMA, taking up a lot of her time. Unfortunately, she often had to slip past her brother to train, causing a rift to form between them. She soon came to realize that she was missing a "meister" she would not get fair in her self-taught training. She asked her parents to let her attend the DWMA so she can pursue her secret talent; she no longer wanted to be held back and do something right despite her disability, and she believed this was it.

They both said yes, being hesitant but understanding her drive and being supportive, only warning her to avoid letting her strive get her into too much danger "like last time." Yalvik, of course, took much more time to get him to let her go. Perhaps a week's worth of reassurance finally got him convinced to let go, but of course not without a tearful goodbye and the gifting of her now-prized poncho. Despite the rift, they still knew each other so well.

And with that, Suzu was off, traveling to change her life and prove herself worthy; prove that she can do so much despite her disability or die trying.

-She is fairly tall... Not including her tall ears and spikes, she stands at 5'6"; including the extra height she's 5'8"!

-The only time she ever willingly takes her poncho off in front of people is when she exercises, trains, or if it's too hot to wear. She usually at least waits until she is out of sight or alone before she does so. When other's are watching, she usually ignores them or grows more pensive around those who approach her. She rarely ever takes it off during battle, however; she feels the obvious missing arm would be a sign of weakness.

-Occasionally she reacts to "phantom pain;" a feeling of pain that feels like it's coming from the arm that is missing. These happen at random instances, but for the most part she tries her best to hide them each time.

-Suzu tends to grow very uncomfortable around any canine ‘mon and once she hears the sound of tearing—especially paper or fabric material. This is because they remind her of her traumatic loss of her arm.
-On a lighter note, Suzu videocalls her brother every night she's available. Despite willingly letting her go, he still misses her and is always worried about her safety.
