In my latest journal I mentioned that a big project was about to start… well, here it begins!

*DarkRinoa88 and I are planning to draw our own… Final Fantasy Themed Tarot Cards ^_^
We’ve also given ourselves a nickname for the occasion: Rising Breeze

I’ve decided to start with the Major Arcana number three: The Empress/L’Impératrice/L’Imperatrice We’ve decided to write the French names on our cards :3

The character portrayed is queen Ashe from FFXII.
I was eager to draw her royal dress. She wears it only in a few cutscenes of the game, so it was hard to find some references. I changed some details and made up others, but I’m really pleased with the outcome C:
The shield was referenced from one of her shields of choice in the game, while I’ve made up myself the design of the sceptre. I wanted it to have a sword-like appearance.

This project will undoubtedly take us a LOT of time, but I hope we’ll manage to complete it eventually
