The finished version with a background.

Since my scanner sucks ass.. the white contrast is horrible so the image looks very dark. I tried lightening it up but this was the best I could do without losing more detail.

That grass took SO long. Almost as long as the fur did.
11x14 Vellum Bristol paper. H,HB,B3 and B5 pencil. Tissue and blending stubs.
approx.50 hours

I'm still adding a few other things but this will suffice as the DA version on this.

Anyway!

A woman in Labrador City just had to put down her two Huskies whom she's had for many many years. They were like her children. On top of this misery... she's been fighting breast cancer for the past ten years and recently had her second breast removed. Despite all of these circumstances, she still manages to be a sweet and caring lady. So her nextdoor neighbor (my uncle) decided to commission me to do to a piece of her two huskies for Christmas. So that she can always have them with her.
