Work in progress.My entry for the CGHub Illustrated challenge, Neuromancer. I've read the book once a year for roughly a decade now, so I figured it was time to do a proper illustration based on it. Took a little walk down Ninsei Street in Chiba City ;]

Rare to find someone who can do both landscapes and people really well. I love the expressions on their faces - and now I think I'm going to read that novel, especially since Shanghai and Tokyo are only a step away from cyberpunk these days.

Thanks! You should definitely read the novel. It's dark, prophetic, kinky, funny, strange and amazing. Totally flipped my world on it's head when I first read it. Plus, it has such a great opening line:
"The sky above the port was the color of television, tuned to a dead channel."

AWESOME job. Case and Molly are great; not exactly how *I* pictured them, but these looks really fit the characters. And the background is also fantastic. I've tried drawing pictures of Gibson's Sprawl, and I just suck at pulling it off. You, however, pulled it off. Great work!

I've had that problem with the Finn--no matter how many times I drew him, I couldn't get him how I pictured, until recently.
