Finally had a chance to rework this image and get it at least a little bit closer to what I see in my head. I like the background more than the characters... whoops

Good guess, but nah, just a random joeboy. I imagined Ratz as being grisly as fuck. Almost like The Hound from Game of Thrones, but fatter and less monolithic heh.

I like the old version much better. But this one is good too. And int terms of still and effort, a thousand and ten times more impressive than anything I could ever dream of doing.

Ha, that's cool. I did the initial version forever ago, and this version quite some time ago.. never really got it where I wanted. Interesting that you commented about 15 hours ago.. that's precisely when I randomly woke up and had the idea to go back and fix this painting for the third time. It's the reason why I even logged into DeviantArt today

Har this is so rad, I just flicked between the initial upload and this revision a couple of times, it's crazy how much better Chase and Molly are looking. Their expressions convey a lot more character and appear much more natural and the tweaked smoke effects for the vehicle look great.
I would say that I kinda prefer the more saturated colours of the initial version but other than that, fantastic work! It's great to see a genuine cyberpunk image so well realised.

Thanks! I re-read the book once a year, and I've been meaning to paint a street scene for years and years. There are at least 40 scenes in that book I want to paint
