Description
Send me a Note if you're interested in commissioning me!______________________________
An incomplete size chart. Not sure if I'll ever finish it. I got as far as sketching out the profile of Megatronus' head before I ran out steam while working on this compilation...
Just a size comparison chart for people that might want to think about drawing the 13. Most of the character designs are final, some recieved further tweaking in pictures that I did of them after this.

I was going off of the FunPub stuff, but I guess Exiles replaces all of that since FunPub had to cancel that series.

I believe it was only Nexus Prime's bio card text which said Alpha Trion and Vector Prime cut him up, not the stories themselves. But that's neither here nor there.

That info's kind of outdated. I kind of liked that idea better though.
Then again, giving him god-like powers is kind of a must if he's a member of the Thirteen, I suppose.

And he is also the progenitor of the combinersβthe ultimate combiner.

Ah, kind of. I was just making the color scheme his actual toy (and comic book depiction) had less silly while keeping the colors pretty much the same (ie: darkening them and altering where the colors go since he has the new design in Prime).

Nexus prime colour scheme looks like this [link]
I do like your colour scheme though, makes him looks noble and determined.

Like I said, that color scheme is a bit silly.
And thanks

I wouldn't say his established color scheme looks silly, particularly since he is made up of five different bots (at least in that particular configuration, as well as that in Exiles), certainly no more silly than any other "Scramble City" style combiners. In fact, his colors are pretty well balanced and distributed between the red and blue.

I'm not a fan of powder red and purplish blue. I don't really like excessive amounts of translucent plastic either.

"Powder" red? He's red and blue. And no one is saying make him translucent. We're simply saying that the established color scheme and color distribution is hardly any sillier than any other combiner's color distribution.

I thought the neo green popped on the Consructicons. It also complimented the purple accents.
The Nexus Prime combiner is definitely powder red. And there is an assload of translucent plastic. Really takes away from the figure's look.

That's the toy, not the character art. And technically, the toy was simply clear red and clear blue.
I'm an artist by trade and I've never heard of a hue called "Powder red". I've heard of powder blue, and powder pink (both of which are pastel colors), but never "powder red".

Alright, then coral, deep magenta, or red violet, if we go off of Copic color chart. Basically a light, dull red color.
A similar, dull red was used for the official character art when Fun Pub owned the character.

It might just be your monitor calibration. The red used for him looks nice and bright to me. But, as I said, that's neither here nor there. IT's more color distributionβhow the reds and blues are laid out on the character (i.e. what parts are blue, what parts are red), rather than specific hues of red or blue that I'm talking about anyway.

soy-monk In reply to Tramp-Graphics [2012-02-06 07:48:38 +0000 UTC]
I'm pretty sure it isn't an issue with the monitor, although the toy itself looks like it has orangey components in some photos. I checked out the Fun Pub pics on my sister's PC and the colors look pretty much the same. It's not really a Optimus or Hot Rod/Rodimus red. It's more of a "salmony" hue.
I see what you're saying about the color layout though. I totally misunderstood your original comment then. The placement of the actual colors is fine to me, althought I'm not really a fan of the deco on the head.

He is, along with Alpha Trion, the first beast-former, Megatronus Prime (The Fallen), and one or two others. (if the first beast-former isn't already represented)
