my first attempt at old zogwort, its just a weirdboy with some greenstuff "snakes"ill probably try again with a warhammer fantasy orc shaman and some 40k bitz

if i could give you a tip, that would be to avoid using metalic paint. most often than not, it looks terrible all by itself. If it isnt a mithrill silver/chainmall/boltgun metal, I tend to stay away from it. and even if so, i use them sparely.
play around with highlights. first give it a dark wash made out of a mix of black paint and water in a 1 to ~12 paint to water proportions. after it dries off, highlight some parts of your mini. it will give the miniature a better look.
keep at it.
