Edit: crimine, I forgot to say: this is something of a photomanipulation, (using my own photographs) so I did not paint this per se.
Hey, at least I got that in before folks started complimenting the anatomy! XD
Edit 2: maybe I should also note that this isn't a statement for animal rights, (or welfare, for that matter) but a statement against human idiocy.
I would never want a beloved pet that receives excellent care to be torn away from a responsible and knowledgable owner because "wild animals should be free~!" Instead, I believe people should know what they are getting into before acquiring a pet; and this applies for any species, be it a tiger, a wolf, a dog, or heck, a fish.
Seriously. Even fish.
My first goldfish died within a few days because no one in my family knew the importance of de-chlorinating the water, having a filter, or keeping it in an adequetely sized tank. The poor thing was in a tiny fish bowl filled with tap water.
I changed my approach to getting new pets after that; I was reading books on caring for guinea pigs for about a year before I got my first cavy in third grade. She lived well into my freshman year of high school
Of course, that's not to compare adopting a 100-pound wolf to buying a 2-pound, potato-shaped, livestock-mouse. Point is, most potential wolf/wolfdog owners have no clue what they are doing. Please do your homework for your own sake, as well as that of your pets.

For Halloween, I went in my casual wear. My arm was hanging at my side, out of the sleeve, so it looked like I didn't have an arm past the elbow. My friends dog Soqui was walking in front of me, dragging a leash with a fake arm attached to it. Since he looks like a wolf, I freaked a lot of people out. It was quite fun.

It's physically impossible in the sense you imply.
Dogs did not evolve from wolves, per se; the modern dog was selectively bred from the "friendliest" wolves through many, many generations. The process is repeatable, but it requires years of work, a fairly large capital, a lot of space, and a hefty number of wolves, unless you are willing to use a small gene pool.
With any luck, the animals will eventually neither look nor act like wolves, but will effectively be dogs.
Even taming a single wolf requires more work than it is worth, if the desired result is a pet. It must be socialized within a few weeks of birth to accept humans, but it will still show signs of aggression and predatory behavior; experienced wolf handlers and zookeepers never enter wolf enclosures if they show any signs of illness or injury.
In short, a wolf cannot become a dog.

I suppose I don't mind people owning wolfdogs if they know what the heck they're doing; meaning, that is, the animal is used for educational purposes by a responsible and experienced owner who is not looking for any sort of status symbol.

Yes, I am a firm believer that wild animals make terrible and dangerous pets. And they lack the hundreds of years of domestication that went into our proper animal friends.
I really plan on getting this tee (after the holidays of course). Do you plan on submitting it to woot.tees or tee fury? I'm sure it would do great there.

Heck, wolves lack thousands of years (ten thousand, was it?) of domestication. It's hard to see why anyone would think wolves can be decent housepets, especially considering that even domestic dogs can become so problematic without proper training.
I'm sticking with Zazzle and RedBubble for now; I earn more per shirt from those companies and sales aren't not limited to a single day on a single site, but Woot.Tees and Tee Fury do sound interesting!
