While this feature is present on many ships equipped with shields, the Pelathon class can extend it a considerable distance more than any other ship in the Cyclon fleet. This is useful for shield intersection tactics, and the nature of Cyclon designs already lends itself well to that task.

Description: The Pelathon class frigate is an often overlooked aspect of the Cyclon fleet. It doesn’t offer many tactically unique, or distinctive abilities besides general escorting capabilities, and a lackluster ability to operate independently. While it doesn’t steal the spotlight from other, more impressive ships, it fills out the fleet, and does it’s job.

Fun Facts: The Pelathon class frigate is arguably the most recognizable capital ship to any given citizen of the GDL, while the distinction goes to the Rendo class for most Cyclons.
