Description

1: The warp ring on the Urray-Jed class is designed to lock into a position in the center cavity to have better ventilation, and to provide an easier place to eject to eject it from. This feature is one that is common only on Cylcon ships.
2: The roller assembly is required to move in and out of warp position quickly, to allow for the deployment or retrieval of fighters moments before or after activating the drive. A helpful feature that saves time is the ability to spin up the warp ring as it moves into position. Because of this, the drive takes about the same time to prime as most other Cyclon ships. The ring doesn’t block the hangar bays, but it does require extra caution to maneuver around.

Description: Urray-Jed is a massive Heavy Battlecruiser, developed near the end of the second galactic civil war. This class played a large role in establishing a unified design language for succeeding Cyclon capital ships. While extremely large vessels like the Urray-Jed class fell out of use in favor of spreading the resources across many smaller ships, this class still found use in the planetary defense of important Cyclon worlds, and stations late into the 2880s

Fun Facts: The Urray-Jed class was used as the testbed for the Stratomantle Pressure beam. This new weapon proved to be a valuable asset to any fleet it commanded, and many classes after it were built with one.
