Description: The Weymire class is a staple of any spaceport in GDL territory, and most of them even have GDL insignia on their hull. Their exceptional cargo capacity, and their decent speed and armor make them a perfect choice for any cargo companies fleet. The only downside is it’s inability to enter atmospheres, relegating it to only deliver to spaceports. While it has to stick to planets with infrastructure in orbit, it’s defensive capabilities allow it to traverse moderately dangerous routes. Another selling point on this class is it’s simple maintenance. Crew sections, cargo sections, engineering sections, and engine sections can all be shuffled about easily. Due to the popularity of this class, it’s parts are also widely available.

Fun Facts: Weymire classes are often used in planetary defense forces, (with their cargo sections removed). This now sleek, compact ship now can function as a corvette, using its existing anti-fighter weapons to protect other, more combat oriented starships. Some pirate factions also employ these ships in much the same way, except for a more offensive situation.
