Vent'es and his son, Wil.Here is my character and his son from a science fiction role playing game I'm doing. They are basically humanoid space rats that have a fascination for new technology and creating implants to replace otherwise perfectly healthy organs.
My philosophy of drawing is I either don't bother with a background or I do as detailed as I can. I did the latter in this case, it seems a shame that I had to blur it, but I wanted the two characters to stand out.
Overall I am quite happy with the way the two characters came out, Vent'es is his usual moody self, while Wil is just waiting for the chance to run off and start messing with the computers.

Ah though it is blured it still looks awesome. Infact it may look better cause otherwise the pic itself would have been too complex for the eye.

That background is simply awesome. And despite being full of cool detail, it meshes well with the foreground.
I love Wil's expression, you just know he's about to break Ventes's brooding with another headache.
That reminds me, I should really finish that drawing of Ventes I said I'd do so long ago...
