Whoah would you look at that, it's some actually recent and finished art of my wonderful protag, my excellent shifter daughter, one of the coolest people I- it's Jawz!
(also featuring her main shift form with slightly updated markings; would you believe I've been meaning to update the patch on her back for over four years but only just figured out a way to make it look alright?)

It's kinda hard to tell here, but those markings are actually meant to kinda mimic some lateral electrophoresis gel trails, because of Reasons™. I don't think it was totally intentional on her part, but she's definitely spent enough time around Spectrum Labs and I imagine saw that pattern many a time when she was younger and throughout the years, and it looked neat enough so it just kind of stuck!

Some other things you might not know about Jawz:
is what's referred to as a 'complex shifter', meaning she has multiple set forms she can take; it usually takes a long time for her to learn a completely new one/not sure how many more she'll pick up (she seems pretty content with what she's got), but on the plus side she can hybridize traits from her existing forms to create new variants, which is what her main shift form now consists of!
she is super boss at and loves old arcade games; if you find Pacman swag, you bring to Jawz. If you bring Pacman swag AND Mars bars, you have a new friend for life
could technically be considered an 'accidental runaway'; it's a long story, but she was separate from her family when she came to the city of Central, and has since built up her own life and family here. there's a lot of misunderstanding and miscommunication around what happened, and it's a sore subject- she doesn't like to bring it up
has a relatively optimistic viewpoint, though she doesn't think everything is always sunshine and roses; tries to stay positive and keep moving. She's a firm believer that sometimes if you don't know what to do you just need to make a decision and go with it; even if it turns out that it wasn't the right one, it's better than being paralyzed by indecision
is extremely skilled at freerunning/parkour, though she uses it more for practical reasons than showing off. Likewise, she's got a decent little side-business playing courier (letters, parcels, things) around the city, and the skill has come in very handy!
