Description Something that I said in the description of this:

My good friend ~mountaindewme quoted it on Facebook, and I decided to make a Stamp of it.

I used to blood paint, it worked very well and came out pretty well too.

I made art with a glob of cheese and a pepperoni. Ate it before I could post it, though.

Indeed. I once used jam for an artistic effect.

Just uh... Just remember that it means "ANYTHING."
I don't think I would've said that if I haven't read "Everything is Art" by ZeKarmiSama...

so true!

Raph1966 [2011-02-09 17:10:40 +0000 UTC]

True. I've seen email images of a guy who "paints" arts on cars' rear windshields by just brushing away the dust. He's amazing. ^^

Princess-Kay [2011-02-09 09:46:19 +0000 UTC]

True. Though whether it's GOOD art, or art anyone wants to be around, may fluctuate with your materials (for example, if all you had available was litter... as in, the cat's.) But you CAN do it, dang it!

*is a writer, however, so the "anything" rule can be a bit more annoying to utilize.*

This sick man had the splendid idea that it could be considered "art" to film a dog starving...

Yeah yeah, I remember that. That was so wrong!

True, unless it's copied, traced or outright stolen artwork. o 3o Other then that, I say if you can find a way to make art out of a piece of string, the anything can be used.

missi-alicja [2011-02-08 20:02:48 +0000 UTC]

I agree 100% if it stays within good taste. Because once I was in gallery of modern art and there was a 'painting' made with human body fluids including excrements (unfortunately, work was so 'shitty' that i didnt remembered artists name). Anyways artist claimed it was made of this and seriously it looked like made with body fluids. Picture was made of really random stains. I still dont know what artist tried to tell in his 'artwork' except he is oh so shocking and oh so original...

So. Yes I agree, unless its body fluids of human or animal or other things that kind. Everyone can clean his a** with piece of paper and call it art.

Apologises for ranting a bit, but generally I agree with you.

lol When I saw this stamp, my first thought was, "Unfortunately that's true." I was also remembering "art" made from someone putting poo on something.

So true on this, but there will always be precautions. For example, if you're using someone else's work to make your artwork, please ask their permission first or credit them, it doesn't hurt at all to do that.

I agree. I remember back a few months ago in Art class, my instructor commented on how "if everything is art, then nothing is." But I think that while not everything is art, everything has the potential to be.

So here I am, browsing dA while waiting for a painting for a painting to dry. I come across your stamp and literally laugh out loud. The painting I'm working on is done with leftover coffee.
