Description A reupload from my !Commander-Luminaire account.

I made this because of all the people who leave deviantART, only to come back later, as a joke

But did you know that only a couple months after I made this, they introduced the Deactivation feature?
That one doesn't allow you to come back though
Edit: What do you know, it lets you come back now LOL

Can't you reactivate your old account? The name is more familiar!

I don't know how the name can be remotely familiar after almost two years

I only learned by chance that your new name is SparkLum. Your brand new fans probably won't know about the old name but all others remember well I guess. You even have a group named after you. I would give it a try. Maybe keep both and make CL to your resources account instead of backup-lunari. Just a brainstorming....

Well, it's not possible to restore the old account at this point, first of all. All the deviations no longer exist. The deviations now uploaded on backup-lunari are set in there. It's not possible to reassign them to the old account, and it would be confusing anyway.
The group named after CL is owned by someone else; I don't run it anymore.
if I were able to reactivate the CL account, the only thing I would do with it is point to my new account here, which is a pretty silly idea.

Well, ok. Fair enough. It was just a thought.

Brilliant.

Seriously.

As a UI designer, specialised in community based software, I think this holds a lot of merit in more places than just here.

Drama is a big part of any community, and from now on, I'll make a solid push for features like this, that put an account on "hiatus", as opposed to the regular "delete everything" button.

I wonder how many people would deactivate over actually deleting though. You're kind of obliged to include both options, for the people that *really* want to quit. And since that's an option, people will probably (in a fit) purposely go for the crude, cold and thorough, "delete" process...

Anyhoo, still, I love the idea.

Cheers,

It was on Encyclopedia Dramatica until they went away, when I made that thing about how Premium Members still get advertisements

This would be the perfect deactivation process.

Before when I uploaded it under my previous account, Administrators did comment on it

Did they like it? Or I guess I should ask, is that where they got the idea for the deactivation feature?

Same idea as mine? xD

I read it again with as little ADD as I could, and it says he may or may not have my Credit Card info after all -- right now it's only certain that he has my name and address. Still. Kinda creepy.
