I was a fan of vampires back before they sparkled or were able to fight their primal urges. They drank human blood and loved it. Neck gnashing, blood bathes, playing cat and mouse just because it was cruel and fun....ah, the good old days.In fact, I was slightly mocked for my interest in them. The girl who mocked me 10+ years ago is now so obsessed with Twilight that she planned her wedding to fall on the same day as
Bella and Edward's.

Of course there are also the vampires of Romania which merely drain the life force form their victims simply by hanging around..... and the Phillipine vampires that drink menstrual blood and semen.....and the tikoloshe, which I've seen identified as both a type of vampire and a demon, which is more of a sort of incubus in terms of feeding..... The one thing they all have in common is that they are all apex predators. And usually end up killing their victims.....eventually....... Twilight is an abomination to the worldwide vampire mythos. Period.

A friend of mine knew i was a big fan of Vampires so she came to me and all goes creasy over this serie saying i HAD TO SEE IT !! .... but i have eard of it million times alrady and its just make me very mad (when peoples blabla too much about a movie i dont feel like see it anymore XD lol ) ...annnd the way they describe the girl i hated her alrady and did not want to see the serie .

Yes! I loved vampires before the sparkling Edward 'vampire' came along. Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the movie Salem's Lot introduced me to them, and i'm glad that i knew the real vampires before Twilight came out.

I agree. Me and my friends used to pretend we were vampires and tell scary stories about them. Now, we laugh and await for Dark Shadows and Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter to bring back the good old days.
