Description
oh snap now i feel like a jackass. i will miss Petting Zoo though. but... the world's give a little, take a little i guess. soooo LOL JK U GUYZno but srsly i ment wut wut i sed ):
this is still a frownie face.
______________________
even in those ancient times, Bastaat was a dump compared to what it used to be. but it's still the place in time to which... *cough* some of us... would give anything to return.
OPTIONAL:
Toreas (Terry back in his homeworld) and a weee li'l Tofilius in some of the more beat-down ruin that the herd claims for their home, deep in the mountains where few humans go. (they know who lives there.) the weak and fearful human beings even constructed a monolithic idol in the Ox king's image at the entrance to the mountain pass, hoping he'd be... flattered enough, i guess, to be sated to stay there and not venture down with his monstrous kin into the prairies once more. they leave crap at its feet. sometimes the bulls bother to go down and pick it up, because y'know. they leave nice stuff. gold and virgins and such. infrequently though, because it's a long walk just to get the mail.
relative peace time between the Aurochs ascelli of the east and the humans inhabiting the coastal region, pinned there by their presence. the peace cuts short very soon. but no gloom and doom, this is supposed to be a happy picture. okay... a bittersweet picture. :/
as for revisiting this world in depth, well i'm muckin around with that side concept again. no further comment. this leg of LOA now has a permanent place in the storyline called Time Again. [link]
TECH:
- 100% vector
- very rushed, from a brief silhouette drawing i did.
- recommended soundtrack, Chrono Trigger - Kingdom of Zeal - Time Chill (ocremix.org ) BUT DEAR GOD SKIP THE SAX SOLO. it's gay up the butt and out the nose. srsly. keyboards ain't bad, though.
- whew! DA finally fixed the god-awful category selections.

the colors! OH MY GOD THE COLORS WHY DO PEOPLE LOVE IT SO MUCH
it's blue and orange! i don't even think they're compliments, this particular blue with this orange. but not a single person neglected to mention the colors. i... i just don't see why it dominates the image.

oh it was such a sweet machine...so ahead of it's time. 1990 and It had a desktop and icons you could customize. My whole desktop was of Lum and key phrases from the series would play when I openned certain icons(darling!). I had a video digitizer and used to capture pics and sounds from my tapes. then genlock tv in the bg so I could watch tv while I was playing games or drawing. Digipaint let you work in 4096 colours(wow..lol) which was a major improvement over 16 colour PCs(well 256 vga was making the scene finally but it was too slow to be cool.) Damn wish I still had it to muck around with...but sold it to buy an engagement ring when I thought my lady friend at the time was pregie...rats!

dude i never used an amiga. i remember you saying before that they were "lost in a world of their own design without realizing it was crap."
but that really does sound ahead of its time o_o

yeah it wasn't until win95 that the pc finally got close to how the amiga had already been since 1991. It was just a case of a big money organization muscling out another...aka IBM and microsoft strong arming the little company that had a fairly inexpensive hightech wonder. In 1992-1993 I bought a 24bit graphics card for it...it gave me the capabilities to paint in 16 million colours and animate in it. It had a paint program that let you actually mix the colours on a pallete....like you was really painting. you could drop water or oil in areas and it would simulate that effect....damn I had almost forgot about that till just now.

holy crap that is like... amazing for that time period.
and now, they make SUCH A BIG FUCKIN DEAL about how in creative suite 2 you can have "up to 60 custom swatches!"
...hurrah. fun. i can name groups of available colors i need an entirely different window to change the values of.

Malchitos In reply to sparkpenguin [2007-05-24 00:49:45 +0000 UTC]
yeah...exactly. Another thing it had was a fairly decent sound system...it had four channel sound but with stereo...so it was really 8 channel. They had a music format called MOD that used digitized sound bites that it could alter tempo on the fly...so using little snippets of a song they could reproduce an entire song in a 500k file....so it was kinda like a early version of MP3 in 1991. But since amiga was big in europe most of it was early techno and rave.
