Can argue the Xperia Play is the link between the PSP Go & PS Vita, but no-one knows about it.

I commend you efforts but I do have with the NES and Atari coming from the Oddessey2 and the Xbox from the Dreamcast.
You can ignore this though as it is more of nitpick then an actual complaint.

This looks really legit, to be fairly honest!
It shows how gaming has come so far, and where it all started...
...and that there were a few cheap knock-offs of other brands.
But most importantly, it shows the very successful consoles and brands.
It seems as though if a non-gamer were to see this, THEY may even think through and about how far the companies have come. Just maybe.
...Oh, also, I think you may have skipped the Nintendo DSi.

Well I didn't count the DSi is cause it's just a redeisn of the DSlite without the GBA slot.
the 3DS is the DS's true successor.

Yeah and I would love to see verious Console games ported to the 3DS.
like Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3
I love MGS3 and I was excited that it came to 3DS and now it's a proud addition to my collection.

wasn't aware dreamcast counted as xbox's predecessor

Yup. It ran Windows CE. When Sega quit making hardware Micosoft used what they had done for the Dreamcast to make the Xbox.

And not only that, some of the key people who worked for SEGA or who designed the Dreamcast were hired by Microsoft and help designed and create the Original Xbox
π: 0 β©: 1
spdy4 In reply to AJD-262 [2014-07-28 06:35:49 +0000 UTC]
So in other words the Original Xbox is the Dreamcast Mk.2
Since most of the games that were made for Dreamcast eventually ended up
going to other consoles or became Exclusives to each system.
Like
GunValkyrie Β = Xbox
Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg = Gamecube
Blood Will Tell = PS2

Well someof SEGA's best games were once Dreamcast games and instead went over the the Original Xbox
plus if you compared a Dreamcast Controller to a Original Xbox controller (either the Fat or slim models)
you'll notice that have alot of similarities.

Actually Nintendo & Sony were working together to make a CD add-on for the SNES. This would allow Sony to make and distribute games and also allow to make a SNES & CD console of their own, Nintendo was afraid of Sony so at the next E3 they announce that the would instead go with Phillips to create a SNES CD add-on
Sony fely Betrayed and used and the President of Sony wanted quit but Ken Kutaragi said that the PlayStation could be salvaged
and after years of experimentation Sony was ready to show of their new toy
The Sony PlayStaion
They never made a SNES CD but Phillips with permission from Nintendo made the Horrendous Phillips CD-i all the infamous CD-i games like Link & the Faces of Evil, Zelda and the Wand of Gamalon, Hotel Mario, and Zelda's Adventure.Β
